What is the heart of Buddhism

There are differences between denominations
I think Buddhism originated from Buddha's teachings
Simply put, what is the heart, core, and essence of that teaching?
I would be grateful to receive answers from monks from many denominations.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience,
I don't expect anything Buddhist or something you can understand once you learn it.

“The Torii Dorin Story”

It's a story about important aspects of Buddhism, and my favorite story is “The Torii Dorin (Torii Dorin) Story.”

A Zen master named Dao Lin from the Tang Dynasty in China was asked by the famous Chinese poet Bai Juyi (Bai Rakuten), “What is the most important thing in Buddha's teachings” and answered, “Don't do bad things, do good things.” When Bai Juyi said back, “If that were the case, I could say even a three-year-old child,” Dowlin went back and forth, “Even a three-year-old child may be able to say it, but even an 80-year-old can't do it.”

Don't do bad things, do good things, it's practice. I think that's the important thing about Buddhism.

appending
I've decided not to add more, but just a little bit...
This story is “All Evil Mosaku Shuzen Bugyo.”
It's dangerous to try to understand only Buddhist terms you know, such as “if you learn, you'll understand.” “Don't do bad things, do good things.” That's all.
One explanation was immediately rejected. There is a limit to words. The rest is for you to practice concretely, not your head.

Lastly
As an impression of reading “thank you,” you had the impression that even though there were people close to the goal saying “here and here,” they looked at the starting line and said, “I understand this is the goal line, how about it?”
Of course, if you don't stand at the starting line, you can't finish. Just finding the starting line is admirable.
The way to move on from there is to abandon that perception you have once and for all. Please do your best.
It's about time for the character limit. I won't write more.

Wisdom and Convenience, Sky and Luck

Hyoayu-sama

This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.

The heart of Buddhism.

As Mr. Kozen said, the Shichibutsu Tsune is exactly right, but I think it can be said that what is even more important as practice in its contents is wisdom and convenience.

This is because wisdom and convenience are always necessary to attain enlightenment and nirvana.

Wisdom is the wisdom of understanding the sky. Convenience means good deeds, good deeds, and mercy acts. Achieving self-interest and altruism successfully through wisdom and convenience is important for enlightenment and nirvana.

After that, he said, “What sees luck looks at the law. “He who sees the Dharma sees the Buddha”, “He who sees good fortune sees the Dharma. As they say, “He who sees the Dharma sees good fortune,” it can be said that along with the sky, good fortune is an important part of Buddhism.

Especially when it comes to understanding the sky, it is hoped that luck will also be understood as a set.

Just for your reference.

Listen listen and write “hearing (chomon)”

Hyoayu-sama

My name is Shakkeishin.

I was able to take a look.

Listening to Buddhism is called “I'll listen to you.”

What is the essence and real thrill of Buddhism
You will be made aware of your own foolishness, and you will have an ear to listen (listen).

The opposite of me is the truth.
Also, it's wisdom.

It's Buddha's wisdom, so it's called Buddha's wisdom (buddhi).

Through Buddhism, you can highlight who I am and what my wisdom is.

There is a story about a doctor with deep knowledge of Buddhism.

A male patient with terminal lung cancer in his 70s.
This person is arrogant and doesn't listen to people at all.
Even when they listen, they seem to not listen at all to what they have learned and their own beliefs as if they are correct.

That man's condition went back and forth over and over again,
One day, when procedures for surgery and medication gradually ran out,

It seems that the teacher said it to that man with all his heart.

“○○-san, I've been asking for medicine that can be used gradually. From now on, of course, let's select various facilities such as hospices while continuing treatment.”

Next,
“Why don't you go to a temple I'm related to once and listen to the puja for a change of pace?”
Normally, it's probably illegal to talk about specific denominations at hospitals, but it seems that this teacher said it with all his heart to the man's irresponsible attitude.

Then, it seems that the man answered like this.

“It's still early.”

With the end of my life just around the corner, it's still too early.
It was said that the teacher was surprised.

Maybe we are the same.

There are various theories in Buddhism.
It makes me think that it becomes truth and reason.
But for me, it's Buddhist studies.

Also, even when it comes to 52 levels of awakening, are there people who sense isoception or supremacy?

At the end of the day, Buddhism is neither the past nor the future, and no one else,

I'm talking about the most important aspect of my life and death right now.

Right now, the only thing I can do is ask them to listen honestly.

Niiji

I read the question, the monk's answer for each answer, and Hyoayu's reply to it.

I don't think it's within my power, but a little bit of what I felt

No matter how far you go, Buddha Shakyamuni's sense of victory can only be understood by Buddha Shakyamuni. Exactly, it may be a world where all the laws that have died out of the ridiculous theory of words are completely empty.

However, Buddha Shakyamuni was not limited to his personal feelings, but also caused great sorrow and explained the law. I think he tried to convey it to us with words.

All laws go beyond language and discernment, but at the same time, they also exist as a secular state of affairs depending on language and discernment.

“Katsuyoshi is not explained without relying on worldly abandonment” “Fundamental Middle Theory”

My understanding is my understanding, but the only way to convey it to Hyoayu-sama is to use all my words
The only way for me to understand Hyoayu-sama's understanding (or learning) is for Hyoayu-sama to do his best

However, mutual understanding conveyed through words is not necessarily the same thing

Nevertheless, it may be a world of enlightenment where what is passed through exhaustive words surpasses words, and is understood (understood with the whole body) rather than understood (understanding of the head).

Some people express it as “falling in the stomach” (being convinced by the whole body) rather than “falling down in the stomach” (being convinced by the whole body)

Some people express that Buddha's awakening is not “I noticed something this amazing,” but rather “didn't I notice something like this?”

Words are interesting, but at the same time, words can be dangerous

Still, aren't words important? I think there are worlds that transcend words through words.

My favorite word these days is “one like the other”

Life and death
Others and me
Anger and Nirvana
past and future
Sky and tentative
Katsu Yoshitsune and Secular Deception

There aren't two opposing sides, but when it comes to whether they are one at all, that's just like one

If you don't mind, why don't you tell us the “heart of Buddhism” that Hyoayu-sama learned with all your words? Also, could you tell me about the process of “not learned, but given”?

Aim for self-perfection!

The upper one pursues high spirituality everywhere, and the bottom acts by reaching out to people in need everywhere in the world. It's a teaching aimed at self-perfection. When the mother hears the baby crying, she can tell the difference between crying for milk, this is crying when the diaper is wet, and this is crying with a fever. It's about cultivating a heart where you can feel that someone else's suffering is your own pain, like Mother Teresa's. It's about having a religious experience (enlightenment) that this objective world (mountain rivers, plants, others) and yourself are not different things. I'm unaware, so just FYI!

It's like that, but it's away

This is an answer after reading your reply.
First, can you preach Buddhism on the internet? There are parts you can preach and parts you can't. If the narrator and receiver don't become one at the same time, it cannot be conveyed.
How do you make adjustments in the midst of that? It is about individual monks thinking while watching their partner and learning through experience. If you ask whether it's 0 or 100, it becomes an obsession in itself.

And in the first place, I would like you to hold down 2 points as an argument, but the era of first questioning the pros and cons of the internet passed about 10 years ago. Whether we want it or not, relationships on the internet continue to expand further. Nevertheless, far from spreading education about being compassionate on the internet, the reality is that adults are repeatedly making discriminatory remarks and criminal acts. So if monks don't jump into the internet society, who will show the way?

When Hasunoha was first featured on TV, there was a tremendous response. At the time, there were no restrictions on questions, and when they literally cut time to sleep and meal time to answer, Yahoo! I saw tweets like this in real time. “When I look at hasunoha, I wonder if the human conscience is something that can go this far.”

Please scratch the reverse side of the letter. Our footprints speak of Buddhism. It's a career theory. This is all bad luck, the public good magistrate. It is “as is” to sense such conscience as it is. Since it's the internet, deciding that it's an exchange of intelligence is an obsession. You have to notice that this way of thinking is coloring the world before words came out. It is only when you realize who you are now that it is the heart of Buddhism, not Buddhism. This question itself is no different from what I'm doing in Buddhist studies.

Next, these are the basic basics that are first taught not to be misunderstood in the field of missionary work, but most people in the world are not interested in the heart of Buddhism. Check out our latest questions. Most people come here thinking “I want the monk to listen to the story” and “I want to listen to the monk's story.” The first thing that is close to that thought is the first one, and the answer by mixing the essence of Buddhism nicely into it is a traditional counterfeiting theory that dates back 2,500 years since Shakyamuni.

That's not enough, but there's a character limit. Rewritten responses are not recommended, so if there are additions, please ask a new question.

The way to live comfortably and without overdoing it

The essence of Buddhism is not something you can understand once you learn; it is a path to practice with your mind and body. I think it's a way to calm your mind without being caught up in anything, determine the essence of things, understand human instincts, and live by controlling them with reason. You can get some comfort by doing that.

Erase and control the cause of trouble and suffering

There is a cause for worry and suffering.
I'm worried.
Buddhism erases and controls worries,
It is a teaching for eliminating and controlling worries and suffering.
The method for this is Buddhist practice.
The three sciences of precepts (lifestyle), meditation (mental concentration), and wisdom (observation/awareness) are the basics of Buddhist practice.
First, be aware of your own worries such as greed, anger, laziness, and pride.

Hyoayu-sama

Is the heart of Buddhism the heart or not the heart
Get away completely from thoughts that are essential or not essential
Become aware of yourself and the true state of this world.
It's ready as it is now without any excess or deficiency, there is no need to ask for anything,
There was no need to throw anything away, and it was fine just the way it is
Being able to feel at ease now.
I think so.

“Can Buddhism Really Be Preached on the Internet?”
I don't think I can explain it. But you can sow seeds,
I think it makes sense.

“I think it will complicate the important points of Buddhism, cause misunderstandings, and direct them in the wrong direction.”
Before the internet, it was already complicated enough, misleading, and wrong
I think it's suitable for Even if it goes in the wrong direction, it's okay
I think so. Everything is good knowledge. Shortcuts and detours all move people in a good direction
I think it will guide you.

“There are no likes or dislikes in the Buddha world, the truth about the heart of the Buddha
A world without words, a world before words come out
There is no conflict or coordination there. It's just that it's like that
In other words, it's a world everyone can understand, but language, logic, and intelligence are everything
It's just that I can't notice it because it's become.”
I think so too.

“Enlightenment is experiencing it, and it is fundamental to Buddhist teachings
It's there. I know it was Buddhism that preached the law to get there
What do you think of this?”

From my point of view, I think so.
I think it's very difficult to define enlightenment.
I can't take it accurately as this much explanation of “experience it,”
“Life and death disappear, and the world of comparison becomes an absolute world,” but in Buddhism
It's not a goal, it's a starting point.
Also, even if you realize that this world is definitely before relative thinking
The thoughts are still there. Don't you have a heart left to be sensible
“What do you think of this opinion?” Is it correct or not somewhere
I think there is.

I think you've noticed something very important.
Don't sit there, don't stop, and have more and more beliefs, thoughts, and sense
I think it would be nice if they let go.
There is a saying “if you let go, see in your hands,”
I think the more you let go, the more you notice.
I think my eyes will be opened to the richness of this world.
