I'm glad I became a monk.
You can also visit Buddha statues, etc. that are not open to the public at a related temple.
suffering since becoming a monk.
The management of Jibo's temple was difficult, and the temple tour that I loved was no longer possible in reverse (laughs). Gassho
I feel instilled in my body that I live every moment with care and care. What I feel like every day is something I notice in my life as a monk. I'm thankful for that.
It's like there aren't any days off for 365 days, so I almost forget the word consecutive holidays (laughs) I might want consecutive holidays.
The good thing is that I was able to learn Buddhism in the process of becoming a monk, and even now.
Also, I was able to meet many monks and parishioners.
Suffering is an increase in feeling one's own powerlessness and immaturity. I suffer from not being able to help those who ask for help. There are many cases where I can't answer even these Hasunoha questions because I don't know how to answer them. However, it makes me bow my head when I read the answers of other monks who have answered such questions clearly.
Good thing about being a monk
I think I've been thinking about old age and death since I was young.
Problems with being a monk
Since there is no concept of leaving work, the mind is in work mode regardless of time or place.
Hello.
Thanks to the parishioners system, I got to know a lot of people, and I was very indebted to them. This was a very good thing.
On the other hand, it is very painful for me to have to witness the deaths of these people I know and care for. Also, it's painful to see how someone who is always laughing and talking has a sad face after losing their family. I am very honored to be able to attend the funerals of those who have taken care of me, but after all, I always feel like crying when I say goodbye at the crematorium at the end.

This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.
“Suffering because of monks”...
As “sentient beings get sick, we get sick” (the words of the Ima Sutra, Ima Koji), everyone's suffering is also my suffering.
“Please tell me what was good about becoming a monk.” ・・
I am truly grateful to have met the Buddha and come into contact with the truth of Buddhism. I know it was really good.
