Is the calendar that important

The other day, my husband injured his leg, and I ended up taking a leave of absence for about half a year, including inpatient surgery and rehabilitation.
Last time I asked you a question, I wrote that I'm not on good terms with my mother...
Thanks to my husband's injury (it would seem like a bee would hit me if I put it this way (...;)), my mother broke down once, and now we're on good terms again.

There was a slight deviation in the story as well as the report, but my doctor told me that my husband's injuries would take about a week to stay in the hospital.
The surgery was successfully completed, and a few days have passed, and progress is good, so you can leave the hospital anytime.
I was told that my husband's parents
“That day (scheduled discharge date) is a bad day, Butsumetsu, so ask them to postpone it a little longer”
and... in the end, I ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days until the next Taian. My husband seems to be convinced of that too (probably because he grew up in that house)...
I knew that my parents-in-law were particular about the schedule of weddings, etc.

I was a little horrified by my husband's family circumstances, who put off his discharge from the hospital for that reason. I wasn't really particular about it, so it's superfluous. I think hospitals will also be useless if they don't vacate their beds as soon as possible.
From now on, will I have to check the calendar for every event? It seems like they're going to say a lot of things, right? Is a calendar that important?

You don't have to worry about

There are probably a lot of people who are concerned about it. It's a complete superstition.

It was also banned by the Meiji government, but control simply disappeared after World War II.

It seems to be related to Buddhism, but it's just a pure guess.

Shinran Shonin also said in Japanese praise, “It's not good to choose the good fortune of the day.”

Originally, it was liked by gamblers.

Please don't worry.

The calendar is not important

The calendar isn't important.
It's just a common practice.
Each person is particular about jinx, but it's on the same level.
You can do whatever you like, to the extent that it doesn't bother others.
In this case, the hospital cooperated and the results were great.
When it's bad, it can't be helped when it's bad.
Actually, it's a case where you have to worry about the calendar, and there are only things you can count on in your life, so even if you don't worry too much, isn't it going to happen?

There are many people who are responsible for good fortune.

It is true that there are more people who are responsible for good fortune rather than believing in the calendar.

As long as there are many people who carry good fortune, it is impossible to ignore it at all, but it has nothing to do with Buddhism, and it has been modified many times until now.

It's not really reliable, so don't worry too much about it.

However, you can't blame the lucky person, so please be nice to your husband's family.

It's not a Buddhist teaching

From the standpoint of a monk, they say “don't worry about it at all.”
However, there are also religions I care about.
So I'm not denying it unequivocally, but I don't care.

For example, in Islam, there are many times during the day when we have to pray.
People who believe in Islam absolutely must do it, but as a Buddhist, it doesn't bother me at all.

For me, “day pattern” is like that.
