Giving up

What is the teaching of Buddhism that you must suppress your own emotions, do your best for others, and when you can't respond well, you will give up on everything?

I look forward to working with you.

It's a little different from giving up

Nice to meet you, Rinrinrin. I read your question.

Rinrinrin sees the teaching of Buddhism as holding back one's own emotions, doing everything for others, and giving up on everything.

1. Keep your emotions in check and do your best for others
I understand that Rinrinrin wrote about altruism.
However, in Buddhism, “self-interest (self-interest)” comes before altruism. First, I'll tell you to take care of yourself.

When you're mentally full, you can't do anything else without asking for something in return.
First, I look back at myself, clear it, and then do my best. Otherwise, a feeling of devouring will occur saying “even though I've been trying so hard,” and a heart of complaint will come out saying, “Why haven't you done anything.”

In Buddhism, they explain that devouring hearts and complaining hearts are poisonous. No one wants to do anything to someone who continues to exhale poison.

In other words, the correct interpretation is not to suppress one's own emotions, but to look at your own emotions, clear them, and then do everything else.

2. Give up everything
Does Rinrinrin indicate the Four Disciplines (Suffering, Collecting, Destroying, and Downing)?
It's written as give up in kanji, but it's not about giving up.
When you run into difficulties, it indicates looking at the true state, pursuing the cause, and walking the right path.

In other words, it means not giving up in the sense of stopping anything, but rather looking back at the path you've walked until now and walking the right path.

I'm praying that Rinrinrin will be able to look at herself and walk the right path.

Giving up is clearly discerning

The character surrender is an important word in Buddhism. In a nutshell, it means to reveal the truth of things and determine them, and it's not about throwing them out along the way. The name of my chief priest a few generations ago is called Ryutai (Ryutai), and the characters are enough to add to my name.
So, what can be clearly determined is to determine “what is rewarded if humans make an effort, and what is not.” There are things in this world where no matter how hard people try, nothing comes of it. Buddha cited “death from old age sickness” as a representative example of this.
I was able to see through suffering and worry when trying to do something about something that cannot be done with human effort. There are many other things that can't be helped no matter how hard you try, but the most common questions here are “past events” and “the heart of others.” I can't change this no matter how hard I try. Obsession with that creates suffering and trouble.
When it comes to what to do, there is a way to change the way you are in your mind so that you accept it as it is. It seems easy, but it's actually not easy. The reason I can't do it is because I'm worried about myself.
However, the Buddha also explained in detail how to get rid of worries. From there on, you can study and see for yourself.

It's about revealing

You can live an easy life by revealing the facts, even if you don't force yourself to suppress everything.
It's not like being empty or putting up with it. Facts are changing in places beyond human power. What happened yesterday is gone now. It goes away even if you don't touch it. Even if I don't try to erase it, it's disappearing, and even if I don't try to see something new, I'm always in touch with the new present.
Memories and thoughts distort facts and make them invisible.
If you're driving a car while thinking, it's easier to get into an accident. You won't be able to see what's in front of you. Delusions are so frightening that you can't see even with your eyes open.

Therefore, if we look at the facts and live as they are without touching them, we have the current situation where there is no good or evil, no loss or gain, no likes or dislikes. Therefore, making such value judgments means we can get our hands on it. It's a lost path.

If you can make it clear, you won't be able to do anything If you look at it, it looks like you saw it. If there was a sound, it would be like there was a sound. When you drink coffee, it tastes like coffee. Once you've finished drinking it, it will go away completely.
That is probably the fact that they were saved.
