What is the “law of attraction”

Simply put, it seems that “if you think or really think, it will be true.”

There are also scholars who say “thoughts become reality” in quantum physics.

You can put it into words, etc., but it's quite difficult to make assumptions in your heart, and you inevitably get angry at bad things, bad things, and bad news, and you're jealous and envious of others. I don't feel like I can become that kind of person unless I control my mind.

I think positive thinking is important, but is it possible to think positively all the time? I think it's difficult if you look away from things you don't like, stop thinking in a sense, and don't think simply.

When it comes to quantum physics, positive thinking, and control, it feels kind of stinky.

Is there such a way of thinking in Buddhism as the “law of attraction” in the first place?

Tell me! monk!

A kind of mind control?

My name is Fujino, the deputy chief priest of Shozan-ji Temple.
It seems like the others haven't answered yet, so I'll touch on that for a moment.

The law of attraction... it creates a somewhat suspicious atmosphere,
Actually, I've also read a book called “The Secret,” which seems to be that kind of book before.

I see what's written! There is also a section that makes me think, but in a nutshell...
I think it will be summarized in “Thoughts Become Reality,” which Red Plating also wrote.

Certainly, if you keep thinking and believe in it for the rest of your life, someday...

There is no possibility that it will happen.
Most people may not believe it or pass away before that.

If you can't believe it, it's your fault for not believing, and you can't deny this way of thinking.

It's a pretty well-made way of thinking, and it's no wonder that related books continue to sell.

However, if you make one mistake,
“Any thought (even a bad one) should come true! Let's believe that and act to make it happen!”
If that were to happen, it would be a big deal.

As I wrote in the title, a kind of mind control may also instill this kind of thinking.

There aren't that many things in this world that can be said to be absolute.
If it's about understanding reality and applying self-altruistic thoughts,
I think this way of thinking also makes sense.

Finally, is there such a way of thinking in Buddhism called the “law of attraction”? Speaking of which, I don't think so.
If you consider that everything that exists in this world is made up of the law of cause and effect,
I think you'll be convinced.

“Philosophy of Success” and “Buddhism”

Red Plating

This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is a humble answer to the question.

“Law of Attraction” is an unfamiliar word, but I think it may be classified as an idea of “success philosophy.”

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/成功哲学

Personally, I thought it might be interesting to think about the “law of attraction” in connection with the Buddhist karma (karma) theory, but in the first place, the goal of “success” is completely different from the “success” that Buddhism really aims for, in other words, “enlightenment and nirvana.”

Success philosophy is simply about success based on common values, for example, money, authority, privilege, and honor/praise, and since it deals with benefits/pleasures, it naturally leads to ignorance (fundamental ignorance), annoyance (trouble, where one hundred and eight are famous as representatives), and bad business (bad behavior, or accumulation thereof), and it is inevitable that it should be handled with care from Buddhism.

However, for example, if you apply “if you really think about it, it will be true (can be done)” in Buddhist terms, then in Buddhism, by repeating compassion meditation and repeated practice, assuming that maintaining a state of mind to perform mercy and altruism can be done anytime, at any time, without bad worries occurring, you will eventually abandon the plan of your own profit and loss account, and you will eventually be poisoned by worries There is nothing to be done, and mercy and altruism will be required to proceed smoothly.

Murata Natsue, who helped a man in the JR Yokohama Line railroad crossing accident the other day and died after being hit by a train, speculates while fearing that she was able to pull out her own profit and loss account even in that situation and go on a rescue operation, precisely because she maintained a kind and warm heart of mercy that could never be overlooked on a regular basis if there were people in trouble or suffering. It's difficult in a bad life where I'm only caught up in my own profit and loss accounts every day, and I feel ashamed. I think it would be an exaggeration to say that Murata Natsue's rescue act was truly a bodhisattva act of mercy and altruism. I sincerely pray for your peace of mind, and I would like to eventually abandon my own profit and loss account plan and make arrangements so that I can perform mercy and altruism.

Sowing seeds of thought

Hello, Mr. Red Plating, my name is Aoshun

The law of attraction is similar to “thoughts become reality.”

Have you ever experienced being more itchy than before when you start being aware of “being bitten by a mosquito and it's itchy”?
It is a state where the consciousness of being “itchy” has become a reality.

Surprisingly, if you forget the itch (if you're not aware of it), it won't be itchy, but if you become aware that “I've been bitten by a mosquito, it should still be itchy now,” it becomes itchy again.

Also, if a house is built, it is precisely because there were people who were conscious of “I want to build a house here,” that the house is being built there.

It means that thoughts attract reality. It can probably be said that my thoughts have become reality.

I understand that the law of attraction is that “if you imagine it concretely, you will unknowingly advance in the direction of making that thought a reality.”

For example, let's say you decide to give something to your child or girlfriend. Then, when walking around town, even when you haven't decided “I'm going shopping for a present today,” they unknowingly look for an item to be gifted, and at an unexpected moment, “Oh, this might be good,”

I think it can be said that the law of attraction is “a state where you consciously make your unconscious work.”

Also, I think it would be better to understand that the law of attraction is just “attracting,” and that alone cannot be realized.

Even if you think you want to be rich, that alone won't make you rich.

I don't think people ask if there is such an idea as the law of attraction in Buddhism,
Rather, I feel like I'm going to be scolded for saying, “That's an obsession.”
though
In Buddhism, it is said that thinking bad things with your heart is the same as actually doing them.
Thinking in the heart is the same as acting.

Finally, speaking of the nonsense of the law of attraction,
If you want to be rich, you're probably a “person who wants to be rich” (laughs)

I feel like they're testing us monks...

“Law of Attraction,” and in quantum physics, “thoughts become reality.” I'm not an expert in that field, so I don't really understand it. If I have a relationship, I would like to attend lectures and lectures.
Even so, I searched and looked it up, and even though Honda Keisuke of soccer was ridiculed at the beginning with Big Mouth, before I knew it, I began to think that if the Japanese national team continues to win, the whole of Japan will make dreams come true. And they decided the World Cup the fastest in the world. There are still more twists and turns, but is it thanks to the “Law of Attraction” that we can cheer with peace of mind?
Science and physics embody the laws of nature, so if you want to apply them to various things, it seems to apply them. I feel like religion is unwittingly doing this kind of thing. It doesn't seem like it's often used for missionary work. “He who believes will be saved.” is representative. “Honor your ancestors.” “Go visit graves.” If you keep saying these words, everyone may be attracted...

Flowers bloom if you remember

Hello Red Plating.
I don't like it once a month? Is the gold-plated course called Stinky Positive Thinking set at a high price of 1500 yen? My name is Kakugen Tange, the demon, and it is open at Let's be nice to the same platers. (^^ ♪
I've been reading this kind of book very carefully.
Just kidding, the true meaning of this system is not to “attract things themselves,”
It would be better to say, “When you think strongly about something, your brain starts searching for things related to that thought.”
Rather than attracting them, they automatically (unknowingly) pick up things related to what you think, so it's easier to move in that direction even in real life.

I'm stinky (^^ ♪ I'm offering a plus thinking course,
In the end, I will guide you to a state of departure from positive thinking called overcoated plating thinking.
Positive thinking is plating after all. It's about applying top coat and makeup.
Rather than thinking negatively or being too negative
Positive, positive thinking is desirable.
However, what Buddhism takes is peeling off the exact opposite plating.
DIS COVER means to cover (cover) DIS (remove), so your true self is discovered there.
What is the true self that has been covered, plated, or uncovered
Success is not supreme, and no matter where you succeed, it means “you are you.”
There is nothing wrong with having money, but it is known that it is only an amount that can be used up in a lifetime.
If you have a lot of them, anxiety about being stolen also comes as an option.
Humans want as many things as they want, but in the end, how many things they want until now have they been unsatisfied? If you weren't satisfied, wouldn't it be the same from now on.
So, the result that Buddhism thoroughly pursues is that you live your best life regardless of whether you succeed or not.
So what is the best and most desirable way to live?
It is a “peaceful way of life without suffering or worry.”
If the philosophy of success is to learn how to succeed in order to succeed,
Whether Buddhism succeeds or not, people live peacefully regardless of old age, illness, or worries.
That's why I learn myself through Buddhism.
Why don't you completely remove the plating and think about your true self?
