This is Kameyama Junshi.
I'll listen to a part of “Freddy the Leaf” in place of a child who loves stories.
❝ “The time has come for leaves to change homes.” Daniel said. “Some people say it's about dying.”
“Are we all going to die?” Freddy asked.
“Yes.” Daniel answered. “Everything dies.”
“I'm not going to die!” Freddy said.
But his friends fell out one after another. Eventually, the tree almost lost its leaves.
“We're all afraid of not knowing.” Daniel said. “But you weren't afraid whether spring turned into summer or summer into fall, were you? Change is natural.”
“Will we be back in spring?” Freddy asked.
“I don't know, but 'life' will return. That's because “life” lasts forever. And we're part of it,” Daniel answered.
“We just fall and die. Then why were you born here?” Freddy asked again.
Daniel said. “It's for my friends, the sun, and the shade of the trees. You remember those breezes, people, and fall colors, right? Isn't that all it takes?”
That afternoon, Daniel smiled and fell down. Freddy was the only one left on the branch.
The first snow fell the next morning.
The wind blew and took Freddy off the branch. It didn't hurt at all.
While falling, Freddy saw the whole tree for the first time. I was reminded of Daniel's words, “Life lasts forever.”
Freddy fell on soft snow. He closed his eyes and went to sleep.
What he didn't know was that preparations had already been made in the trees and in the ground for new spring leaves. ❞ (http://akitajet.com/wiki/The_Fall_of_Freddie_the_Leaf)
Your child's life changes shape and is by your side. Just like Freddy and Daniel, they are in eternal life. We call that eternal life “Amida.”
I hope that your child, who is by your side, will always smile.
