Quail's End

Yesterday, on the internet news, I saw an article about quails that are born as long as they lay eggs and are slaughtered when they look like they are torn apart at the end.
Productivity is paramount, and they are confined to an extremely narrow cage.
They jump up in the cage, so their feathers fall off.
It was so miserable that I was speechless.
Assuming that receiving the life of another living thing is unavoidable in order to survive, is it OK to torment other living creatures this much with the human ego?
I even thought that if humans perish, the world would be at peace.
I try to be grateful for food, not leave anything behind, etc., but it's heartbreaking to wonder what kind of attitude I should take in this absurdity and what kind of actions I should take.
I would appreciate your wisdom.

Reincarnation is a lost world

We can't live without killing other creatures.
For example, mosquito coils or earthworms crushed by road construction.
Pet dogs and cats are bred to look like humans like, and some are shipped to the market, and it is not uncommon for them to be slaughtered afterwards.
For example, if we try not to be burdened by such a business, such as not buying quail eggs or keeping pets, etc., there may be slight resistance.
In any case, we are the ones who repeatedly reincarnate while being cruelly slaughtered, wander through a lost world without being able to attain Buddhism, and are reborn as different creatures.
In Buddhism, it is thought that it is impossible to graduate from this cruel repetition of reincarnation until enlightenment and affliction is destroyed, until so-called attainment of Buddhism.
We are all foolish and cruel creatures who have not attained the attainment of Buddhism.
What we should fundamentally aim for is to learn Buddhism, become enlightened, and go to a world where we don't have to kill.

Thank you for your question.
That was a very sad article.
When I looked it up, it seems that one way to keep quails is to keep them flat without putting them in small cages. It might be a good idea for us consumers to prioritize requests for eggs raised in such a way, even if the price rises. Of course, even if you keep them flat, you have to properly prepare the environment for them.
Also, it seems that male quails are killed as soon as they are born. It's sad.
There is no end to counting chickens infected with influenza, duck from the duck farming method that has grown, and lives taken due to human circumstances.
All such people are just trying their best to live, and they never kill because they want to kill them.
What one human being can do is small, but I want to try not to kill as much as possible, not cause as much pain as possible until killing, and make the way to kill without suffering or pain.

I'd like to ask how to think and act is a good path

I read it.
I understand very well what you're saying. No one of them changes a very precious life.
There are places where our human egos force us to live such miserable lives, and there are also places where we carefully nurture the precious lives we have been given and receive some of our lives from there.

It's very important to look back at such a world, social situation, corporate situation, and who we consume.

Things you can buy easily if you go to a convenience store, and if you go to fast food, you can easily eat them,
I think each manufacturing process is something we must never forget. We all have responsibilities, and we can't just do what we never knew.

I would always like to ask how we will proceed with this structure that prioritizes our desires from now on, and how it is good to face and think and act against the next generation of humans, living creatures, and the natural environment. And I would like to share it together.

That's because every life is irreplaceable and precious.

I deny that quail dealer.

regretfully
because capitalist society is measured by economic value
If cheap quail eggs sell
Such traders will prosper.

individual behavior is insignificant
Don't buy cheap eggs like that
Like buying eggs from the right dealer
Like continuing to post such reality on SNS
Just keep doing what you can.
It's the same as “A Hummingbird Drop.”
