worries

I'm currently in my sixth year as a college ronin. My first year and second year were full of motivation, and I wanted to go to college, so I couldn't help but want to go. But now I'm backwards, saying I don't want to be a college student, I don't want to meet people, I don't want to go to places with lots of people, etc. I'm going to prep school now, but I don't want to go until class starts. I don't really want to go there even when class starts. No matter what I do, it's a hassle and I don't want to do anything. The days of not being fun go by in a daze every day. I'm careful about cleaning my room and grooming in an attempt to change something, but I don't feel refreshed. How can I regain my motivation and face the exam positively?

Let's check the meaning of going to college.

Thank you Mii for your question.

It's been 6 years as a ronin, and I think it's going to be a big deal.

Often, when living as a ronin for 2 years or more, it seems that people often lose their initial motivation or don't understand the meaning of studying.

What made you decide to go to college?

What is the purpose of studying you are doing now?

I recommend that you check that out.

Aren't you particular?

My name is Kameyama Junshi.
“If I don't do this, I won't be happy.” If you stick to this idea, people will be unhappy. This kind of state of mind is called obsession (obsession) in Buddhism. If you've been living as a ronin for 6 years, maybe you don't have this kind of commitment? Even if you're a ronin, if you have a clear goal and are working towards it, then there's no problem. However, if you can't think positively about things, there is a saying, “If it's not like this, I can't be happy.” That sense of commitment may have taken precedence. If you have that kind of obsession, I recommend that you take a break from that heart (obsession) for a while. If you do that, I think that will pave the way for you to do your best just the way you are now. (In order not to be misunderstood, I'm definitely not recommending giving up going to college.)
I hope that Mii will have a bright future.

An indelible way of life

First, let's talk about not wanting to meet people.
Being someone else is like not being around.
Let's look at it as a ❞ entity that ❝ appears in your mind only when you're aware of it.
If you don't become overly aware of that person, even if there are a lot of people, it's as if there are no one by your side in a good sense.
“People” only appear in the mind when we are conscious.
Even when there are lots of people on trains or at prep schools, etc., there will be times when people are just not aware of them.
Even close family members are probably forgotten when they are obsessed with smartphones.
No matter how many people there are, if you don't have ❝ and ❞ in your heart, it's as if there are no people there.
People don't function within you; they aren't conscious.
Everyone, me and Anata, will just live their whole lives in this body called themselves for the rest of their lives.
Let's live our true self.
Nor am I going to college for my parents.
Living the way you want to live is your life.
If the hurdles to the university you want to enter are high, it's a good idea to realize that it's impossible and choose another school.
That's because you can learn anything you can learn anywhere. It is here, myself, that has the power to absorb learning.
Just because they entered Harvard and the University of Tokyo doesn't mean they're all successful, right?
Also, don't try to be positive.
Let's live with the truth that exists now as it is, without adapting it or dramatizing it.
When you don't feel well, it's better to relax and say, ah, well, that's fine, and sometimes your strength springs up later.
Instead of trying to live positively, I recommend taking full advantage of your strength and returning to your true self.
