The meaning of life

Please tell me the meaning of life!
I'm not thinking about suicide or cutting my list, but I don't really understand the meaning of being alive.
In 100 years, most of the people alive today will surely be dead. Certainly, there are sad things and fun things when you're alive. However, in this world, terrorism, cruel murders, robberies, DV, molestation, bullying, etc. can derail lives. Fortunately, I haven't been involved in such incidents or accidents, but there are many such people, and just watching and listening makes me feel very disgusting. I don't think everyone is a bad guy. But what exactly is the point of living in a rotten world where there are so many people who completely destroy people's lives? It's unreasonable for people who work hard with bloody efforts, and for people who live a normal and quiet life. Furthermore, it is even more unreasonable for people who die young due to poverty, AIDS, war, and illness. Aren't punishments given to people who have done bad things? Is it permissible if I reflect on it? Does happiness come to people who are victimized even though they haven't done anything wrong? I go to school every day, help out, and don't really understand the meaning of being alive as a volunteer, doing lessons, and club activities.

“Improving the mind”

Dear Hannah

This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.

I certainly thought a lot about the meaning of life and the meaning of life in the past.

I've started practicing Buddhism, and now I've come to a conclusion.

Is it fair to say “improvement of mind” or “improvement of personality.”

Anyway, the problem of “heart” is greatly involved as the cause of repeated birth and death (reincarnation) in this world of hesitation and suffering. It's a problem of fundamental ignorance called ignorance (ignorance) and karma (karma) accumulated by ignorance.

I know that I would like to do my best in this life so that I can somehow improve the state of mind that continues from one life to the next, even little by little.

By all means, I would be very grateful if you were interested in Buddhism, which is a teaching for transforming the mind for the better and more pure.

Live freely in the midst of inconvenience

About the fact that humans were born and live, for example, each person,

You became a doctor to save many lives
In order for you to become a scientist and explain everything in the universe
You want to be an athlete and impress people

There is no specific meaning or purpose given to it. What's more, humans as a whole don't exist for the prosperity of the species.

It does not exist given such a specific, fixed, or substantive meaning or purpose.

There are various causes and conditions as a result. Right now, you are receiving life as a person.

This is called the reason for good fortune.

It does not exist with some meaning or purpose first, but the fact that it exists due to the reason of good fortune comes first.

There's no specific meaning to it. It can also be said that everything has meaning precisely because it's not there.

“People who make bloody efforts and do their best,” “people who live a normal and quiet life,” “people who die young,” and “people who have done bad things”

Under the dignity of being thankful for existence itself, that journey has meaning in every aspect. Meaning can be heard, created, and felt.

Every person you think you can't find meaning or that meaning is being trampled upon has their own meaning.
“People who are making a bloody effort and doing their best” are not making an effort by asking whether it's unreasonable or not. I am working towards the meaning I have found myself. People who do bad things also feel it has meaning.

In other words, we are not living with meaning, but we are not living without meaning either.

There are things that aren't there. It's possible. Therefore, since it is something that doesn't exist originally, it doesn't mean that you can't live without it. There is a fact that you are actually living even if you don't understand it, as I'm asking the question now.

The meaning doesn't come first; the facts come first. So, if you have one, you're free to start with facts.
If there is no meaning or purpose determined by the desire to receive

How am I going to live? Aren't you excited?

If that's the case, I think it's all full of meaning in everyday school/club activities, helping out at home, etc.

You can live as you like while suffering from a reality (inconvenience) that doesn't turn out the way you want.

That is the meaning of a free life.

Viktor Frankl's opinion

This is a quote from Wikipedia, but it's very well organized, so I'll introduce it.

In the Otani school of Shinshu, Viktor Frankl is often quoted.
I think this is because his “shift in perspective” has something in common with Shinshu.

Quoted from

“Before humans ask what the meaning of life is, life is asking questions about humans. Therefore, in reality, there is no need for humans to question the meaning of life. Humans are beings that are questioned from life. Instead of asking questions in search of the meaning of life, humans must answer questions from life. And the answers must be specific answers to specific questions from each person's life.”

Attitudinal value
What kind of attitude do you take to the fate that has been given to you? It is the value that will be realized as a result. In life, there are things like a kind of “destiny” that has been decided from birth, there are also things that can be called “destiny,” and various things happen during life. Frankl says that the true value of a person's life can be understood by what kind of attitude they take to such “given things.” Furthermore, this attitude value alone states (unlike the two values described above) that no matter what kind of predicament a person is driven into and deprived of various abilities and possibilities, the possibility of realization is not overshadowed. In other words, with this value, people do not lose their meaning from life until the moment they take their breath, and the “meaning of life” is constantly being delivered, discovered, and waiting to be realized [24].

The meaning of life is to be made by yourself!

If someone created a meaning or goal for life, you would be Marionette, right?
There are still many people in the world who are engulfed in war, starvation, famine, etc., and cannot even survive.
The good news is that we were born in a country called Japan, where we can think, speak, and act freely.
I think I'm really thankful for that.
So, you are free to think about anything.
You can also find the meaning and meaning of life yourself,
Or why not make one?
The meaning of my life is to spread the teachings of the Pure Land, written by Shinran Shonin, who is my mentor and monk, and I add that there are no misunderstandings, but the saint says that there are no disciples.
I'm an undercover apprentice.
Also, it's about helping Amida, who promised to be useful to everyone. Here, too, I am nothing but Amida's salvation,
It's just that I am acting on my behalf without permission, but I am proud to be an evangelist and agent.
It doesn't matter what anyone says.
I am a disciple and a supporter of salvation.
This is based on faith.
There is no end to counting the misfortunes in the world.
I'm not more me than me, and
Nor am I less than me.
It's not about people, it's about how you go.
My faith is
These are my feelings for Amita-sama.
It's not someone else's faith.
Then, this lousy person, was saved by Amida.
Please find the meaning of a wonderful life for you.
I wish you happiness.
