Can I become a monk at home?

I have studied Buddhism in depth, and I want to become a monk in the future. However, I'm an ordinary student, and that doesn't mean that my parents' house or relatives are temples. Incidentally, my family's sect is the Jodo sect.
Can I still become a monk?
Also, which university should I go to so I can study to become a monk?
Please tell me. Please.

It's wonderful to be a monk

Thank you for your question, Ren'ami. I understand the desire to become a monk in the future, but it means that I want to be a monk of the Jodo sect, but the Jodo sect practices ascetic practices at Chion-in Temple, and the university is a Buddhist university, but I think it's important to keep in mind that my practice is more strict than the Jodo Shinshu sect. Please do your best to become a Jodo sect monk. Gassho

can

Just because your home is in the Jodo sect, you don't necessarily need to aim to become a Jodo sect monk.
You can learn the doctrines of various denominations and choose the denomination that suits you.
Or, regardless of denomination, it's a good idea to look for a monk who would like to become this person's disciple.
Also, you don't necessarily have to go to college. Of course, if you go, you'll be able to study harder, and you'll make friends, so it's better to go.
Also, it is possible to study while working as a member of society, participate in regular training, and become a monk.

On top of that, if you want to become a monk of the Jodo sect, why not talk to the monk at the family temple first?
Maybe they'll become a master and monk, and maybe someone else will introduce you to another monk. Or maybe you can get some advice.

I'm hoping that you'll become a good monk. Please do your best.

Also, I recommend that you sit as straight as possible on a regular basis.

I'm from home, too.

In my case,
There are no successors to my relatives' temples,
I had a chance to enroll in the temple there.

If there is no such route,
Sect schools (Bukkyo University, Ryukoku University, etc.) of each sect of Buddhism
Enrolling in the Department of Buddhism and getting a monk's registration would be a shortcut.
Also, if you can get a job at Motoyama, you can live as a monk.

If you want to become a chief priest,
Do you want to enter an empty temple
I wonder if my son-in-law will join the temple.

You can become a monk at home, so
Please don't worry.

Please be sure to aspire

I read it. Please study Buddhism by all means. I sincerely congratulate you on aspiring to such a path.
If possible, I think it would be a good idea to consult with the chief priest of the family temple.
It's about carefully discussing how you want to learn Buddhism and what you want to become.

If it is a Jodo sect, there are sectarian universities such as Taisho University and Buddhism University, but in order to become a monk, you must either practice training at Sohonzan Chion-in Temple or Daihonzan Zojo-ji Temple.

If you want to know more, it might be a good idea to ask the Jodo sect religious affairs office, and if it's hard to hear, please contact the chief priest of our temple, Ikko-ji Temple. 0283-22-4664
I sincerely congratulate you so that you can now enter the Buddhist priesthood and become a monk.

If you have a desire to practice

It's the Jodo sect, so if I don't mind, I'll consult with you. If you feel like training, please contact us on Facebook.
