About animals

I'm heartbroken about culling, animal experiments, and everything else.
Does the fear, sorrow, and suffering of innocent animals have a necessary meaning or reason during their evolution?
I empathize so much, how can I think without getting hurt?

I want to at least get hurt

I was also worried about the cruelty of animal experiments, and I have investigated it.

According to Japanese law, when selling pharmaceuticals/cosmetics, etc. containing new ingredients, animal testing data must be submitted to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, so every year more than 300,000 animals (animals) are “killed” while experiencing extreme pain.

In Western countries, the number of countries that prohibit animal experiments from the viewpoint of animal welfare has increased, and methods using cultured cells are also being developed as alternatives. It was reported in the news that Shiseido announced that it would abolish animal testing in Japan as well.

Along with advances in science, I think methods to guarantee safety for humans without involving animal experiments are being established. I hope that many companies will move in the direction of reducing or abolishing animal testing, even if it costs some money.

It's a harsh way of saying it, but Maki says, “How can I think without getting hurt?” The question is, “How can we turn our eyes away from reality?” “How can I stop feeling guilty?” As a question, I accepted it.

This is not the case for me, and I think there is no choice but to accept the reality up until now and express my deep condolences for the lives that have contributed to human safety until today.

Also, act in the future, keeping in mind that the number of lives that end in suffering will decrease even a little.
As each person makes a choice about how to live, I think that will come closer to being realized.

Read “Thank You.” Please forgive me for not being able to read through that much anguish.
If you think that deeply, you'll worry that everything from eating to using medicine will be difficult.

As repeated in the text, I express my deep condolences and act with the intention that the suffering of living things will decrease. As long as we can't save everything, I think that's the only thing we can do.

To maki-sama.

It's also important for you to think about various things about animals (sorry for putting them all together), but first accept reality,
For precious lives that have contributed to the safety of all lives,
Isn't it possible to continue to have a deep sense of gratitude as a memorial service for their lives?
I think so.

Appreciation and recompense for things in nature

This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is a humble answer to the question.

In this natural world, it is self-evident that humans cannot exist without animals, of course, while there are activities such as great luck. I believe that we humans are required to be grateful and rewarded for things in the natural world with a spirit of helping, supporting, and sharing.

Of course, bad acts caused by human arrogance, greed, etc. will always lead to bad consequences. I know that it is necessary to avoid “damage” to things in the natural world that is more than necessary without knowing enough.

Also, in past questions, I have answered questions about animals that are slaughtered. I think everyone's answers will be helpful, even if only a little bit.

The question “did I kill him?”
http://hasunoha.jp/questions/128

“... everyone is living to the fullest in this lucky world. If you can give even a little thought to them themselves, take good care of them, and respond with remorse; for example, think about the natural environment even a little bit, keep protection and ecology in mind, or if there are creatures that are in trouble because they suddenly drown in water, gently help them, or walk with concern about the ground so they don't step on the creatures to death, etc., if you can be kind, I think it might be possible to cultivate a sense of compassion as well. ・・”

“Does the fear, sorrow, and suffering of innocent animals have a necessary meaning or reason during their evolution?” ... Regarding this question, it depends on the “relationship” about being born as a beast, and it is also necessary to think deeply about the state of reincarnation, so I can't go into a little detail here, but it is certain that each has a role in helping, supporting, and sharing in the natural world. For us, we want to continue to avoid insignificant “harm” to animals as much as possible.

Supported by many lives

I don't think there is a life without meaning.
I think every life has its meaning to survive.
However, based on that life, we can now live a comfortable life.
Give thanks for the lives of creatures that died thinking so
Like I'm going to live my life better now than I am now
Wouldn't it be better to think about it?
I am grateful for every life and live in the present.

I used to love insects.

I loved insects when I was a kid. However, one day, insects suddenly stopped touching, and they stopped touching anything other than rare insects such as beetles and stag beetles, and things called pests were killed.
That's me, but when it comes to living things, I read “Strange Creatures” by Hayakawa Ikuo sensei and said, “Jump Out! “Kagaku-kun” began airing, and interest in unknown creatures sprung up.
In particular, I have the same feelings as Maki about endangered species and animals that have become extinct.
Recently, Japanese otters have become extinct, but how do you feel about this fact? “How will the disappearance of Japanese otters affect our lives? Nothing's going to change, is it?” I think there are many people who think that. “Let's increase greenery by planting trees to prevent global warming. But let's get rid of the larvae of longhorn beetles that eat trees.” It doesn't make sense to me. “A large amount of farmed crucian carp and carp are eaten, so if you had exterminated catfish, they are now an endangered species. Now let's make biotopes and the like and protect them. ...” There's no point in listing them. Exactly, it's a mass of ego.
Don't just get hurt at times like this; let's do the test. “Morning spiders are lucky.” “Money accumulates when snakes are molted.” “A hundred feet is the god of war. Lead to victory.” “When I see a large group of sardines, I have a feeling that a big one will hit (laughs)” etc. There's no point in listing them. If you treat living creatures poorly, you won't even be able to carry out experiments.
They are humans on Earth. Someday, “I'll bite a cramped cat.” It will be done.

Don't forget the feeling of reprimand.

Yes, everything has life and is precious.

While we value life, we are saving our own lives at the cost of other lives.
Thus, we are kept alive. What a sinful person we are.

I think you are a very wonderful person who can hurt your heart and be sad.
Remembering the feeling of gratitude is something we can do now, isn't it?

Still, that's not you.

Morally, ethically, and in the spirit of animal welfare, animals have the same life as us.
It's better not to take that life lightly. There is also a way to join the activities of those who are working to stop culling.
However, before that, I would like you to consider this as one of the functions of our human mind,
“Don't interfere too much” is all there is to it.
Empathy, getting into the other person's feelings, projecting, sympathizing, and deepening feelings may seem like a good thing, but please also be aware of the aspect where your mind is stained and poisoned by information as a result.
Humans are heartbroken when they are influenced by information.
Nirvana, enlightenment, and distance in Buddhism means finding a way of mind where your heart is not poisoned by them even when you deal with them. The gaze that dares to keep a distance is also important so that you can calm down a little bit.
Someone died somewhere today too, and the current situation where many lives have been slaughtered is certain.
However, if you carry all of these things on your own, are affected by these negative energies, and your mind is poisoned, it's not good for your mental health either. There is a limit to what a person can do alone.
A way to discard the negative image received from the thing itself and receive the thing as it is. A heart that is not poisoned by information.
Specifically, I think actions and solutions that try to save the lives of animals will only come after they have been made.
