It's rewarding to be a monk
What do you find rewarding about working as a monk?
Also, have you ever wanted to quit?

I think living as a monk is a way of life. However, in reality, it is impossible to live without money. Therefore, I'm leaving for work.
When I'm busy with work at my place of work, when there is a sudden funeral, etc., I have to take a break, and honestly, there are difficult times.
However, the way of life as a monk is fascinating. First, I will practice training in order to save myself. Also, being able to share what you have learned during such ascetic practices to those around you is probably the greatest purpose of life.

Thank you for continuing to ask questions. There are so many rewards as a monk that it's hard to answer...
As a monk, you can be involved in a major event in life called a funeral.
Depending on your own ingenuity, you can proselytize the world.
There is a temple to protect
and so on. What I wanted to stop was during the intense training at Motoyama. When I think about it now, I'm really glad I didn't stop.
I think the biggest appeal of monks is that they have so many things they can do for people in the world depending on their own ingenuity!
It's rewarding to be able to help someone, even on my own.
There were times when I was in trouble, and there were times when I was saved by a small voice or word.
Perhaps it is our mission as humans to help, bury, and complement each other in this way.
They affirm each other's imperfections, provide each other's strengths and good points, fill in each other's bad points, make up for each other, and share happiness with each other.
Doing so isn't a job or anything, so it's painless.
I wish you happiness.
What I'm most happy about as a monk is that I believe in my favorite religion and can recommend that faith as it is.
If I were an office worker working for a company, I told my colleague, “Buddhism is good! Let's put our hands together!” What do you say, they might hate you for being told they're dangerous lol
But since I'm a monk, I'm allowed to say “because I'm a monk...”
As the chief priest of a temple, I recommend the Jodo Shinshu sect, which I believe in, and since I can die just by missionary work, I have never been so happy.
I like the religion called the Jodo Shinshu sect, so I think it's a great job to be able to live by believing and proselytizing in your favorite religion.
If people who like ramen say it's delicious while eating ramen, it's like being able to make a living.
Monks are good (^^)
