Can I change denominations?
My denomination is the Jodo Shinshu sect, but I think there are denominations that are closer to my own ideas. Is it possible to change denominations?
Also, what should I do to change denominations?

This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.
Regarding leaving the stage and changing purposes, I think everyone's answers to the following questions will also be helpful.
Question “Please give me some advice about my grandmother's bones.”
http://hasunoha.jp/questions/174
I answered my question as “freedom of religion” and “the parishioners system.”
Of course, individual intentions should also be respected when leaving a stage or changing purposes, but I am aware that there are things that must be confirmed along with procedures for leaving the stage (written notification/presence or absence of separation fees, etc.), such as whether or not sufficient discussions with family members or relatives are necessary. If leaving the stage seems to be complicated, it may also be necessary to broker a lawyer (lawyer, judicial scrivener, administrative scrivener, etc.).
Buddhism has a wide range of teachings (sutras), from the teachings of fundamental and early Buddhism to the teachings of esoteric Buddhism, but when it comes to failure, they are not too bound by religious denominations, and of course, no matter which purpose is emphasized, only “Buddha relationships” and “Dharma relationships” with the Buddha somehow will continue their studies and practice along with devotion to Buddhism, and they will work hard together to walk the path of Buddhism and aim for enlightenment I know it even though it is exaggerating that I would like you to see it.
I sincerely pray for the blessings of the Three Treasures [Buddha, Dharma, and Monk (· Senshi)].

Question “How to learn Buddhist thought regardless of denomination”
http://hasunoha.jp/questions/233
I know that these questions and answers may also be helpful in many ways, so let me introduce them. I answered, “Towards a definite relationship with the Buddha.”
Kawaguchi Hidetoshi Gassho
Mochivation, my name is Urakami Tetsuya from Nagomi-an.
You asked about Buddha statues earlier, didn't you?
I said, “My sect is the Jodo Shinshu,” but to be precise, “the family temple of my parents' house is the Jodo Shinshu sect,” isn't it?
In Japan, the family unit became a temple parishioner, and the eldest son continued to take over for a long time, so I don't think the idea of choosing a religion or sect was there in the first place.
But now there is “freedom of religion,” so you are free to believe in any religion or denomination. If you are in a position where you have no inheritance, you can choose the family temple of your parents' house regardless of the denomination, but that may also be difficult depending on the region and situation.
If you want to leave your family home, you have to move if the temple has a tomb, which is quite a big deal. Of course, if that is the case, it doesn't mean you're going to do anything bad, so you can proceed by consulting with your family, relatives, and the temple.
If you want to go that far... then maybe you should have a decent relationship with your family's denomination, search for a sect that fits your own ideas, and learn.
There are monthly puja sessions at Nagomi-an, and there are many monks from different denominations and people who say, “My family temple is from a different denomination.”
Mochivation seems to feel that the Jodo Shinshu doesn't suit you, but please come and visit us if you like (^_^)
As Master Kawaguchi and Master Uragami said, I think this is an exemplary answer. However, if you take over the house you are currently living in, I think there are many troublesome procedures to change denominations. However, if you are independent and have a household in a separate house, if you say that the ○○ sect is good at the time of the funeral, a request will come to a nearby temple through the ceremony hall staff. Also, there are many cases where people become believers or believers. This is often the case for people with separate households, such as 2 and 3 boys.
When it comes to faith, I think it's different. Previously, I went to a Soto temple in Europe for training. My parents believe in Christianity, but the person himself believes in Buddhism, especially the Soto sect. Moreover, it seems that there were people whose parents and relatives thought this was “freedom of religion,” and it seems that there were also people who were treated in the same way as kanji. While questioning that Japan has no religion or that one's religion cannot be said with pride, there are also people who think it is peaceful because there are no wars between religions, and I learned that having faith is not a matter of thought, and requires fearful determination and respect.
I recommend Mochivation to be a disciple of the Jodo Shinshu sect until you feel a sense of sparkle and emotion and convert. If you encounter various religions, books are in libraries and bookstores, and study sessions are held at various temples, seminars, and schools. If you want to meet monks from various denominations, I recommend going to the Bozu Bar. I also go to bozu bars in Nagoya once in a while to help, so if we get along, let's meet up.
Of course you can change it.
I'll compare my conclusion to vegetables first.
Whether it's meat, fish, grains, or vegetables, life is life. What is important is the fact that it is delicious and that you are grateful for life, and “the vegetarian sect and the carrot group are the only ones who are true. “I don't approve of the daikon group” is foolish.
Ultimately, the goal behind learning Buddhism is that “the Buddha's heart is not outside of the sect, but within oneself.”
Please study each denomination until you understand what this means.
.
Denominations think “Oh, I was really saved my whole life,” and it would be good to treat them with a reasonable sense of distance, thinking that it is convenient to confirm and have confidence. you are you. In that sense, I would like to say don't be fooled by sectarian colors, choose a sect that saves you as you are
Therefore, the issues of defection or moving graves or not moving them are put on the back burner. First, try learning and evaluating various things with your own body alone.
As a matter of fact, in Japan, it is about the extent to which temple (sect) the graves of one's relatives and ancestors belong to, and whether or not they believe in it is another matter.
Christmas is Santa, New Year's Eve is the bell on New Year's Eve, and even though Japanese people have a sense of belonging to a shrine on their first visit, I even feel that they “don't” have a sense of faith there. ('・ω・`)
What I want you to be aware of is that people who belong to a certain emerging religion were not religious at first, they never believed just because they had close friends, and it's just hard to get out, so there are only a lot of people who stay as they are.
It would be very difficult if they were shown images using subliminal effects that directly affect the brain, which are now prohibited. It stains at brain level. Then it's not faith, but brainwashing.
If, like you, you think “let's believe in this denomination” after examining the teachings of your own will, it will be a faith that has the power to save yourself in the true sense of the word, so please keep studying. It's important that you be saved.
The first step to faith is proper understanding. Correct understanding is faith, and “OK if you just do this” without proper understanding is inertia left to others.
Since my parents believed, I too... cannot be said to be a religion with subjectivity.
Faith consists of individual will, and should not be restrained by parents or others.
In terms of personal beliefs and beliefs, if you feel that you want to do this in the future, you have no choice but to follow it.
As for the religion of their family, it seems that an increasing number of people are changing temples because they don't like the family temple up until then, or because other chief priests are better.
However, even in the same denomination, the reception differs depending on the monks, so why not listen to the stories of the various monks of the Jodo Shinshu sect first?
Religion exists for me when I'm alive, so I want it to become my own base.
Of course, it's not something you change as if you were changing clothes, so I'd like you to think about it carefully. It would also be nice to be able to cherish the teachings of other purposes ◎
I would also like you to cherish the wishes of our ancestors, which have been passed down from generation to generation.
Let's cherish this relationship and once again deeply enjoy the teachings of the Jodo Shinshu sect.
If it means that it is the Jodo Shinshu, is there an Otejigi-ji Temple (called a family temple in other sects)? Hearing is more important than anything else in the Jodo Shinshu sect. It means listening to the teachings (learning about the salvation of Nyorai through the chief priest's puja, etc.) Even after repeated hearings, I don't think it's too late (*^^*)
Of course, no matter which Shinshu temple you visit, no matter who visits, you can listen. Be sure to do it when there is a Dharma ◎
It was a denomination close to my own idea, but... I wonder what kind of salvation I'm looking for in my own thoughts ~
There is something sad about the fact that people only have relationships with family denominations...
It would be nice if it would be an opportunity for them to think about various things and ask questions.
Namu Amida Buddha
To mochivation
I hope it's in everyone's answers
Since denominations are the foundation of the mind
I think it's possible to change it.
However, why don't you think carefully once again and then take action?
Certainly, I think there is a Buddhist connection to the Jodo Shinshu sect.
Right now I'm studying by looking at various denominations
Wouldn't it be nice to have it carefully examined once again?
You can act if you feel like it. Gassho
