Primitive Buddhism

Learn Pali,

If you know any monks who studied in the Pali Buddhist scriptures, please let me know.

※I read books by Hajime Nakamura and Fumio Masutani.

I read your question.
In order to learn primitive Buddhism, these two are essential.
I think there are quite few monks who have studied in the Pali Buddhist scriptures. I haven't learned Pali either. For what purpose and what would you like to know?
If you want to learn under someone like that, I think Yamashita Yoshimichi of Ichihoan was training in Burma, so he probably learned in Pali.
You can get in touch with Sasaki Shizuka sensei, so I can ask about it depending on the content.

This is Akira Fujimoto

I am one of hasunoha's respondents. Please try searching by name. He has written many specialized books and books for the general public. I am a master's degree in Pali Buddhist scripture studies.

Elder Albomulle Sumanasara

It's too famous,
What about Elder Albomulle Sumanasara of the Japan Terawada Buddhist Association?
I'm a Sri Lankan Terawada Buddhist monk, and I'm fluent in Japanese.
I think there are also parts in the sutras that are nuances of Pali that only elders who grew up in a cultural area close to India can understand.

There is no gap between primitive Buddhism and normal Buddhism in one's own Dharma

Elder Sumanasara himself said in his lectures within the Soto sect, but he doesn't think that there is such a thing as primitive Buddhism.
It was Buddhism that explained how humans are made.
If you look at it as if there are different things called normal Buddhism and primitive Buddhism, they are typified, idealized, and made into separate things in your head, so just be careful about that.
