Why is liking multiple women evil?

It seems that Buddha probably had many wives, but what is the Buddhist view on loving multiple women? Are the teachings of Buddhism bad too?
Loving multiple women is regarded as a big evil in Japan

“evil”

Hello, nice to meet you.

I don't know if this question comes from the worries of your life, or if it's something you want to know from an educational point of view, but let's answer it first.

There is a saying, “The Buddha probably had many wives.”
First of all, there seems to be a theory that Gautama Siddhartha before becoming a monk had concubines since she was a royal family (Manodara “Buddha Hongoku Sutra”, goper “Shugyo Honki Sutra”), but Princess Yasodara is the only legitimate wife. I haven't married a wife since becoming a monk. In the first place, being a monk means leaving aside secular family relationships.

The question is whether “loving multiple women” is an “evil” thing.
In the first place, Buddhist evil, in plain terms, refers to words, actions, and feelings that have the opposite direction from good in the direction of gaining sutras (attaining Buddhism). In this sense, the more you deepen your obsession not only with “multiple women,” but also with one woman, the more likely it is to be evil.

In other words, not limited to lust, affirming afflictions in everyday mind, words, actions, etc. without remorse is generally bad.

Broadly speaking, there is a Japanese sect that aims to accumulate good from this evil by all means.
Also, like my Jodo Shinshu sect, there are sects that use the wisdom of the Buddha to live good (nembutsu) as the best act while looking back on one's own evil.

In a nutshell, I think this is the explanation.

I would be happy if you could tell me how you feel about the difference between what you thought and when you were asked to explain it.

well then.

Deceiving and betraying is evil

It is written in the Pali Buddhist scriptures that the Buddha is the only wife. I think almost all of the Buddhist scriptures translated into Chinese are like that. The information that “I had many wives” is probably wrong.
There used to be kings of ancient India and people who had many wives in other countries such as Japan. Nowadays, Christian monogamy has spread, and almost everywhere except in remote countries, it is monogamy.
Regardless, having multiple women as wives at the same time was no problem in the Buddhist era. However, infidelity is no good.
Women are aware of having multiple women as wives at the same time. The other person is unaware of infidelity, whether it's a wife or an unmarried two-pronged person. I don't know. It's hidden.
In Buddhism, hiding necessary facts from the other party and deceiving them is considered the worst sin or betrayal that undermines trust, and that is the problem. It's the definitive difference between many wives and infidelity.
If you think about it for a moment, you can understand that even if you're good at what you do, if you're being hidden or deceived by your partner, you can't trust them anymore. That is actually a huge crime.

I can't say anything about it from Buddhist doctrine.

It was answered earlier. Master 2's answers are precious, and it's not something I can answer, but I recognize that Buddha's wife is alone.

Also, only Islam officially recognizes polygamy. In Japan, there used to be a system called concubines, and there were also people called concubines or nigo-san.

I think that would have been a story if my regular wife had acknowledged it.

In general Buddhist terms, even love is called thirst and denied. The concept of romance was created in Japan by importing Christian love from the Meiji period onwards.

In the first place, isn't it possible to say that it is possible to love one person or say in a Buddhist way that there is no such thing as eternal love?

Is it OK if the woman you love is dating another man?

If it's a polygamy/polygamy society
No one is probably complaining
That's not the case in Japan, so it's regarded as a big evil.

To the Buddhist precepts
The one that contains “unforgiveness”
This is because that act causes suffering.
