What is mind control?
On this site, you can receive opinions from monks of various denominations in response to the same consultation, so it's very helpful.
However, since there are various monks, I feel that there are things that “fit or don't fit” from their sentences, style, and content.
There are cases where “they understand me, and I wanted to hear words like these,” and there are cases where “they are misunderstood, they don't understand, and the intention of the question is different,” and I just feel like “I place importance on answers that suit me.”
So, here's a question.
Isn't the beginning of “people who become addicted to emerging religions or fortune telling and blindly believe” common in the world the same?
They don't incorporate opinions that don't suit them, and they only believe opinions that suit them.
Suddenly you notice it, you have entered a state of “mind control” steeped in ways of thinking that are far from the common sense of the surrounding family and the world in general.
What is the borderline between “this person's opinion is right, this person's opinion doesn't agree” and mind control where “I only believe this person's opinion”?
