Should I run for office?

I have a serious illness and I'm in a wheelchair.
From the city councilor, whom I have always been close to, “Please run for office!” I've been invited.
▪ I don't pay the deposit, and the city council pays for it
▪ Since it's a by-election, other city councilors will support me in my place
▪ There are many people who can be saved by me becoming a city councilor
▪ The administration changes just because I'm in the parliament

and so on,
I received a really enthusiastic offer,
Actually, I was told the same thing two years ago and I refused.

I also said, “Now that it has become an intractable disease, my mission is to make the most of it!” I thought about it, and I've been doing a lot of things, but now I don't have anything like my passion back then.

There are many intractable diseases in the world, and there are many people who are even more serious.

Personally, I am not uncomfortable with my current life, and I am happy with this peaceful life. So, I think it makes sense for me to become the city council and the city (where I live) changes,
No matter what, my feelings don't move.
It probably makes sense to do it, and if that is called a mission, maybe we should do it. but...
I've always done what I wanted to do, but I have no idea what I want to do.
but should we do it...
I'm seriously worried.
I would like to hear back from you.

Please think carefully

I read it.
It's going to be quite a difficult decision, so it wouldn't be strange if you were very worried. I can't imagine all of your worries, but I really understand.
Well, what about your will?
Do you have thoughts about devoting your life to the city administration? In order to walk the path of politics, it is necessary to have the understanding and cooperation of families, close people, and people who support you who support you.
Taking charge of local politics is also important, and in order to do so, it is necessary for families and people close to them to walk along while sharing. We must avoid someone being sacrificed for that, and I don't think it's something that should make anyone unhappy.
However, I think it is very important that you make a firm statement on such a stage if you want to make improvements for people in the future, that you have felt and are not keenly aware of what you have felt in your life until now.
The SDGs, which are goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015, are an important foundation for “leaving no one behind and living together.”
The world of politics is also a world of spooky disputes over interests, but I think it is possible to throw a stone at something that changes with your statements.

How about it? Please calm down on your own and think clearly first, and then make a decision after receiving consultations and advice from family members and close people. And I support you from the bottom of my heart.

I sincerely pray that you and everyone will continue to respect and care for each other, stay healthy, and live a happy life.

Thank you so much for your response.
In order to throw a stone in the city administration, I think it can also be reflected by voting for or supporting candidates that you think are desirable in elections. That's because they don't just become city councilors and politicians. I think it is preferable to prioritize your will and the will and life of your family. Please keep your feelings calm and at ease.

Yes, first of all, please put the life and happiness of yourself and your family first. That's because it's after that.
For now, let's calm down and take a look at our surroundings.

In the light of the world

I met him when I was working at a welfare facility
There are words.
“Let These Children Be the Light of the World”
These are Kazuo Itoga's words.

It's not “the light of the world to these children,”
“Let These Children Be the Light of the World.”

Before it becomes a city council, I think the problems that occur in election campaigns will be a “trigger for citizens to share their wisdom.”

If it's a city council election, I think whether there are people worthy of voting even if Yukko doesn't run for office will also be one of the reasons for the choice.

Maybe people who want to carry Yukko-sama can't find anyone else worth voting for.

Thank you so much for your kind words.
Thank you so much for sharing your deepest feelings.
You don't have to sacrifice yourself to the point.

I think “not doing what I don't want to do” is also one form of self-actualization.

Even if it's not a city council, there is also a way to ask another city council to listen to your thoughts, and that city council reflects them.
I think there is a way to get involved indirectly.
First, I want to remember the health of the home

Thanks again.
There are many ideas, but I respect families.
I had a temple and nursing care, and I quit my full-time job a few years ago.
But the balance right now is just right for me.

I can vote for candidates who value work-life balance and diversity in order to maintain this normal lifestyle.
I also feel that the declaration alone is likely to be effective enough.

I think Yukko-san's “Something That Happened to Me” is written as “The Full-Time Housewife I've always wanted”...
I think following the path of a full-time housewife is a good “thing that suits me.”
I don't feel like that is a point of depression.

Yamaguchi Momoe is the comic Gokudō Househusband, and I think it's okay to imagine the image of an ideal housewife and walk along the path of a housewife as “something that suits you.”

Responses are limited to 1000 characters? There is still room for about 200 characters. Additional questions in the thank you section are still fine.

Trust your instincts first

Yukko-san. There may also be a relationship with the city council teacher, so I understand that this is a very difficult position, but you should trust your own instincts. If you're wondering what... then that's the answer for now, and I'll do it! If so, I think that's fine.
I understand that they are probably serious people, so as long as you become a city council, you will be in a position to receive taxes, so I also feel that “just being there” is a bit irresponsible. In other words, please choose a path where Yukko-san won't suffer. The city councilor... I think it's going to be kind of difficult, and as a result (you know full well). I'm sorry for the laid-back answer, but I think you are suffering with the city council teacher, so I hope you can walk the best path “for yourself.” I answered as soon as possible so as not to overdo it.

From the light to the light

Because I don't understand the feeling of wanting to do it
I don't think it should be done.
At least now is probably not the time.
