Nice to meet you, Shieri. My name is Ryotaka Shamen.
Thank you for your hard work every day.
Suddenly, this anecdote has been left in the teachings of Buddha, the founder of Buddhism.
At one point, there was a disciple of the Buddha named Shrona who was worried that she would not be able to gain enlightenment even if she continued her ascetic practice to the point where she shed blood from her feet.
To him, who was good at koto before becoming a monk, the Buddha said, “If the strings of the koto are strong, will they make a good sound?” I asked, “The strings of the koto don't make a sound that is either too strong or too loose. He explained, “The same goes for ascetic practices.”
In other words, it's not good to be lazy, but it's also not good to be too strict.
True peace cannot be obtained from a lazy life drowning in desire or a life of repeated life-threatening ascetic practices (penance). Don't be biased. There is comfort only when the tension is just right.
It was explained. This is one of the important teachings of Buddhism called “middle way” in technical terms.
Well, you're in your 5th year at your current job. Looking at your career and your usual work, your boss is probably relieved that if you entrust the work to you, there won't be any major mistakes. Maybe I'm a little too relieved (sweat)
If you accumulate “this much work, let's do it myself”, it will be a huge amount of work... as you can see from the text, you should be aware of that too.
If you continue to lose your time, the strings in your heart will eventually break.
Or, due to mental and physical exhaustion, you may make mistakes you haven't made until now.
If so, there's one thing you should do.
Let's entrust the work to the extent that we can entrust to our juniors. I was also often told when I was an employee, but it is also an important job to properly entrust work. I'm sure the juniors who have been entrusted will not feel bad if they are recognized by you. Also, tell your boss that you want them to have the courage to think about your workload and assign the job.
It's not a bad thing to entrust a job or turn it down when you can't afford it.
Rather, if you take it on even though you can't afford it, everyone will lose money in the end.
What is important is “just the right tension” and “middle road.”
Please find your “middle way.”
No problem, you should be able to find just the right “middle way.”
Please do your best. But be careful not to try too hard. Gassho (^ people ^)
