I want to feel free to touch the Buddha

Nice to meet you.

There is an image that Buddhism is quite difficult, and I myself always think that I would like to follow the Buddha's teachings.
However, the days always go by with work and raising children, so it's hard to do it.

There are also people who copy sutras, but what is a good way to do such things

My family is indebted to a temple of the Soto sect, but I'm not familiar with that kind of sect, and I'm embarrassed, but regardless of denomination, please tell me how to touch the Buddha on a daily basis.

Thank you for your support.

Books are recommended

I am very happy that you are interested in Buddhism.

It is said to be a temple of the Soto sect, so if zazen sessions are held regularly, why not join them?

Also, if you have a Buddhist altar at home, I think it's a good idea to put your hands together every day.
Even when it comes to Buddha, if you are an ancestor, the main thing is to make a memorial service.

If Buddha refers to the Buddha, reading is easy and recommended.
Buddhism is the Buddha's teaching, and as the teachings were passed down to future generations, they were divided into many denominations. However, the path is just different, and the end goal is the same. It means living comfortably.

If you go to a library or bookstore, there are books from many denominations. Please read various easy-to-read books written by monks among them.
I am a member of the Jodo sect, but I also read books from other denominations.
By the way, what are the books I've read recently

This is a modern and easy-to-understand explanation by taking some of the Buddha's teachings from the book “Words of Truth” (Dharma Sutra).

There are many others, but be sure to read something that is easy to read and put into practice what is written there in your daily life.

Visiting temples is the easiest.

Hello, Nameless Gongko.

You want to feel free to experience Buddhism.
If that's the case, visiting a temple is the best. Visiting a temple is the best way to take a break from work, raising children, and to play. There are also books on Buddha statues and how to look at temples at bookstores, so when I'm at home, I read such books and then go to temples. In addition to Buddhism, you can experience various cultures such as art, buildings, Zen gardens, and chief priests. Gassho

Nice to meet you

Place yourself on the rack in your left hand. Then place the Buddha on the rack in your right hand. It's not a physical story. I'll put it on in my heart. So, put your left hand and right hand into one... this is a joint hand.
Place yourself on your left hand and place your child on your right hand. So, I'm going to put my left hand and right hand into one. This is Gassho.
Place yourself on your left hand and place cleaning on your right hand. So, I'm going to put my left hand and right hand into one. This is Gassho.
If you put your hands together, have a sense of gratitude, and live your daily life carefully, that is Buddhism. It's a way of life where you touch the Buddha.

Learn more at the temple. There are memorial services at big memorial services such as Obon, so please join us.

I'm talking about photos etc... so maybe I'll post a link to “Zen Wind.”
