It becomes an adjustment disorder due to power harassment in the workplace.
I retired from my medical job where I worked for over 10 years.
The reason is that I myself have reached my mental and physical limits due to poor work environments, power harassment in the workplace over many years, and sexual harassment from patients, and I have developed adjustment disorder.
In my workplace, there was power harassment, sexual harassment, and unreasonable treatment on a daily basis, and it was left unattended.
In particular, women in their 60s called “gokoku-sama” were forced to work, and if they refused, they were disobeyed, and treated close to bullying.
I was harassed like stalkers, such as sexual behavior from patients and stalking at work.
Nevertheless, from the standpoint of being younger, I persevered and continued to try to respond rationally.
However, that patience did not pay off.
Last year, when I urged my office to work, I was forced to retire due to power harassment and fuss, but then they appeared at work pretending to be a “patient,” and they began monitoring me when I was alone.
I have been working while wearing myself down as the brunt of power harassment or as a buffer.
Even when I talked to my boss, they couldn't get along with “it's because of my mind” or “put up with it,” and I reached my mental and physical limits, and I developed an adjustment disorder.
Even when I left, the company dealt with careless responses from beginning to end, didn't give me any contact, and I was very hurt by my heartless attitude. The HR department also didn't respond with common sense, and I feel that my trust was betrayed.
I also consulted with public institutions, but understanding of adjustment disorder was poor, and it was suspected that “there is no motivation to work,” and treatment of unemployment benefits as an illness was not recognized.
As a result, the condition worsened, and procedures are currently underway so that unemployment benefits can be received as an illness through a private agency company.
And now, I'm wrapped in a deep sense of loss and emptiness, wondering “what was I” and “what was the meaning of these 10 years.”
The self that continued to put up with sexual harassment
I was just wiping other people's butts
The self that adjusted my life only to the convenience of others
As people around me progressed with marriage, childbirth, and career advancement, I was at a standstill
I just can't fall in love with myself like that right now. I even think it was stupid.
How should I accept this past experience and connect it to my next life?
How should we accept the absurdity of society and the unreasonableness of others?
How can we overcome the sense of helplessness of not being able to become anyone?
Please give me some advice.
