I want to change who is easily disliked in relationships

Nice to meet you. This is my first post, sorry if there are any bad places.

I'm currently participating in a club activity. Among them, it seems that some members don't think well, and in particular, several people make statements that clearly feel malicious. I think I also have bad points, so there is also a part where I'm convinced “we're like each other.” Originally, they were not good at socializing and were bad talkers, so I think casual remarks and attitudes may have bothered the other person.

The problem is that members with such malicious intentions often get involved during activities. I don't speak to them myself, and I've decided that if I'm named, I'll just give a minimum reply, but even so, I can't concentrate, and it's hard to make people around me care. “Is it harassment that deliberately reduces concentration?” You'll even think about it, and you won't be able to determine whether it's good intentions or bad intentions. Suspicions extend to people who thought they weren't disliked, and they think harmfully that “they don't have allies,” and they fall into self-loathing.

I love the activity itself, so I don't want to quit because of this mess. However, since I was a teenager, I had a lot of experiences of getting carried away in the group and not being well thought of, and I had a vague feeling that “I must have caused it.” I have been self-contained each time, saying “it can't be helped,” but now that I'm at this age, I've come to think “it's a good opportunity, an opportunity to change myself.”

There are two questions I would like to ask.
① How should we fight in the current situation?
② How should I fix my own shortcomings that make it easy for people to think badly of me?

I don't care about any comments. I would appreciate it if you could point it out. We look forward to working with you.

I support you from the bottom of my heart

I read it.
I read that you are worried about what to do about relationships in the future. I don't know the details of your relationship or relationships with you or the people around you, but it really conveys what you are worried about. I understand your feelings from the bottom of my heart.
If you want to improve your relationships, why not ask fair people you can trust how they objectively view you?
I think it's fine to the extent that others see and feel that way without accepting it as a shortcoming that everything needs to be improved.
It's not that easy to change your personality, way of thinking, or disposition, so I think you should gradually improve what you want to change while being aware of what you are a little concerned about yourself.
You never have to force yourself to change. Everyone has their faults and good points. I can't say unequivocally good or bad, because it changes from time to time.
Also, I think it's better not to look too much at it as an enemy or ally. There are people who are hard to stick with at first glance, but there are people who actually suit me after getting to know each other, and there are also people we can trust each other.
There's still a long way to go in life. Let's sit back and face the path of your life without being in a hurry.
I sincerely pray that you will meet and deepen relationships with various people without creating barriers to the future, and that you can live a truly rich and fulfilling life with many people from the bottom of your heart, aiming for the way you are aiming for.
And I will support you from the bottom of my heart.
Please let us know your feelings and thoughts again, and we look forward to hearing from the bottom of our hearts. We wholeheartedly agree

Advice for you to change

The answer may be a bit harsh, but please bear with us.
I don't know what kind of club activity it is, but since it's called a club, I'm sure everyone else wants to enjoy that activity in a friendly way while actively communicating with each other.
If there are members among them who only respond at least, the atmosphere of the whole circle will deteriorate, and of course there will be people who feel antipathy against such members.
If you have a bad point, it's just that one point, and whether you're bad at speaking or not is not a fundamental issue.
On top of that, I'll give you practical advice on how to change.
First, be sure to treat people with a smile.
A smile is the greatest weapon in order to facilitate communication.
Please make a smile even if it's not fun, even if it's not fun.
Strangely enough, when you make a smile, your mood naturally brightens up.
Next, remove the barriers that you are putting around you.
If it's difficult to get rid of it right away, keep the fence as low as possible.
Please show others the true, unpretentious version of yourself that you are showing in front of your mother.
It takes courage to show off your nakedness (with some clothing and makeup, of course), but people who see it will trust you and become your partner.
I'm sure you'll make close friends and boyfriends too.
Humans can change at any time if they want to, and I hope now is an opportunity for you to do that.

In order to face “myself who is easily thought bad by others”

I have read your consultation. It's an important place called a circle, and the pain I feel that I'm being maliciously directed at me, and the feelings from suspicion and dark demons to self-loathing resonate deeply in my heart.

In Buddhist teachings, there is a way of thinking called “good luck.” Every event or relationship is something that is born, changed, and eventually fades away due to relationships. The other person's statements and attitudes may also appear “malicious” due to intersecting with one's own inner anxiety and past experiences. However, it is not a fixed “truth,” and it can also be called a “temporary form” that changes depending on relationships.

First, let's talk about ①. When it comes to “fighting,” there is no need to force yourself to repair it. The more I worry too much about what the other person thinks, the more disturbed my mind becomes. In the Shingon sect, there is a meditation called “Ajikan.” By focusing on your own breathing and feeling that you are definitely living in the here and now, your mind will be prepared little by little. Even when you come into contact with bad words or attitudes, if you have a habit of thinking “this is a relationship that flows like a cloud,” you won't have to be shaken excessively.

② About “how to fix shortcomings.” In Buddhism, there is a saying “the same as oneself and others.” You and others are originally one, and your desire to understand your partner makes you grow as it is. If you feel that it's easy for people to think badly of you, it's important to look back on your intentions, such as “what did I want to convey” and “how to say it was easy to reach.” However, don't “fix it because it's a flaw,” and take it as an “opportunity to learn.” Flaws are not to be blamed; they are like stones that shine when polished.

Also, you don't have to be liked by anyone. It was difficult for everyone to understand, even Buddha. Cherish your own sincere heart, carefully select words little by little, and try to imagine the other person's position. That alone is an honorable enough practice, and it is a step that deepens you as a person.

Please believe in the feeling that “I love this place” and keep walking without being impatient. That sincerity will eventually be conveyed to people around you, and you will have a good relationship.

Something called a community

Other people have also answered about improving communication, so let's talk about it from a slightly different perspective.
You
“Among them, it seems that some members don't think well, and in particular, a few people make statements that clearly feel malicious.”
I'm talking about why this happens.

First, whether it's a club, club activity, team, or group of friends
“Community management” is insanely difficult

gather people,
Decide on activities,
Make preparations and arrangements,
Of course, cleaning up after work is done,
Even so, if it fails, the person running it will take responsibility.

So why do some people do such a difficult “operation”?
In most cases, this is “because we want to provide that community to people.”
In other words, it's almost “good intentions.”

Unspoken rules are imposed on people who only participate in a community that is maintained in good faith.
It's an “obligation to liven up the community to the fullest”
There is no need to do anything special, but we will actively talk as much as possible, create atmosphere, and create a fun community.
All participants shared such efforts.

Just as there are people who feel subtle when people who are not good at studying take a full copy of a notebook made by someone who is good at studying and get good grades,
In a community created by people who are good at socializing, there are people who have a subtle feeling when people who are not good at joining and enjoying activities.

If you're not good at studying, you'll know that the correct answer is to work hard while being taught.
If you're not good at socializing, you have no choice but to work hard while being taught things like “where to play” and “communicate like this.”

Human honesty is only found in action
A community is a “place to socialize.”
Therefore, acting “not good at socializing” cannot be said to be an act of sincerity towards the community.
If you work within a community, act sincerely towards the community.
