Are there exchanges between monks and priests?

I'm curious, so let me ask you a question.
Do Japanese monks ever gather with monks from temples around the world to hold exchange meetings? (online or something)
One more thing, are there exchanges between Shinto priests and monks at each shrine?
I think it depends on the temple or shrine, but if you don't mind, my house is like this! I would be happy if you could tell me that.

Thank you for your question.

I often hear that there are more shrines and temples in Japan than convenience stores, so I think there are places for interaction, big or small.
Incidentally, it's a private matter, but my chief priest's uncle in law was a Shinto priest in charge of Shinto rituals at multiple shrines in the city.
I remember chatting and consulting a few times, like this at the Buddhist memorial service, but if it's Shinto... They've already passed away, haven't they? I often regret that I should have talked about more things while I was well and started listening to various things.

That's right. Right now, digital communication is at its peak, so there are probably more connections than you can imagine that transcend positions and industries. First of all, here is one of them.

I work with various religious people

I read it.
Thank you for your question. There are places where monks interact with each other in various forms and groups regardless of denomination. As is the case here, the “Association of Monks Facing Suicide and Suicide,” which I belong to, is also active with various monks regardless of denomination.
Recently, so is the “Temple and Church Parentless Aftermath Counseling Room” council meeting. Alternatively, at the “Religious Order Solidarity Conference Tackling Human Rights Issues,” we continue our activities while interacting with people at shrines and people of new religions.
Many religious people gather and actively work on various social issues and respect for human rights.
I think I'll probably see something like that at some point.
We look forward to working with you.

Thank you for your question.
Personally, I've never interacted with monks from around the world.
I sometimes attend meetings with the priest of the shrine at the World Federation Okayama Prefecture Religious Conference, etc., and interact with the priest at the Teachers Association.
Also, once in a while, I clean up shrines in the town at neighborhood meetings.

Exchanges may vary depending on regional characteristics and daily activities and positions.

Other people have answered, but there are probably various types of exchanges depending on daily activities and positions. Relationships will also change from each standpoint, such as doing some kind of activity or belonging to some organization. Also, I think there is a regional character because there are temples and shrines in the neighborhood.

Incidentally, I have relationships to some extent as a member of an organization/organization, and we are not close even in private. I also work as an administrative counselor, so I think there are more relationships not only with religious matters, but also with experts involved in consultation work in cooperation with various counseling organizations.

This is probably something that will change depending on the situation, though...
