I wonder if I will perish if I don't have any virtue
We are now at an age where we can reach the 60th birthday. I'm thankful to be able to do work where I can make use of my expertise, but in the past, I was forced to work as a full-time employee due to restructuring, and I've already been unable to return to my original position for over 10 years. It's probably going to be difficult in the future. There were also people who criticized me for being “immoral” (deceased, a person with deep relationships with Buddhism). I myself have a feeling that “I simply don't have luck, and I can't go so far as to say that I have no moral character,” but on the other hand, I also have fears and concerns that I really don't have any virtue and will continue on the path of decline toward old age. The relationship between luck and virtue is really elusive, but even so, I would be happy or even extreme if you could give me some words that make sense. If you think about it, over the years, I've always asked similar questions over and over, and it's heartbreaking, but each time I've received powerful words from the monks who answered, and little by little, I'm getting better. Thank you very much.
