How to change your mind

There was someone I had been close to for about 6 years.
Since the beginning of this year, fights have increased, and the cause was that they always said they couldn't get back in touch because they were busy with work.

Even so, we got in touch with each other again and went out to eat as before several times.

However, around last month, I became busy with work again, and when we lost contact for a while, they said “I want to take a break for a while,” and then I couldn't get in touch.
I'm sure they won't be contacted anymore, and maybe they wanted to break up a long time ago.

I thought I was dry when it came to love, but it's frustrating that they dragged on forever. It's pathetic.
We've been dating for 6 years, and it makes me sad when I think that the end was unexpected.

However, whatever the reason, I definitely don't want to take a break from work, so I'm doing my best, but will there come a day when time will be settled and I can forget about it and move on again?
It's not worth the year, and it's painful to have this kind of consultation, but I would appreciate it if you could tell me.

By letting go of obsessions and regaining charm and brilliance, a new “good relationship”

Thank you very much for your consultation. It is quite natural to feel a deep sense of sadness and loss when the connection we spent 6 years together is broken. There is absolutely no need to blame yourself for “being pathetic to drag on forever.”

In Buddhism, the cause of mental suffering is thought to be “obsession.” What is frustrating and distressing you right now is a strong obsession with past “6 happy years” and good memories that are hard to let go of rather than your partner's current attitude itself. Originally, relationships are meant to enrich each other's lives and give each other happiness. If your current relationship takes away smiles from you and forces you to have only painful feelings, it's sad, but maybe it's time to accept that relationship has reached a natural lifespan.

You still don't have to try to force yourself to forget it right now. If you work hard every day without taking a break from work, you have enough strength to overcome it.

If you let go of your obsession with the past little by little as time passes, a new “margin” will always be created in your heart. That leeway will restore your original charm and brilliance, and eventually attract new “good relationships.” Please don't be impatient and move forward while gently caring for your own heart.

Because it's our own life

I read it.
I can tell you that you are worried about the gap between work and love, and that you are unsure about the future. I don't know the details of you or your surroundings, but I sincerely understand your concerns.
Maybe 6 years have passed and you and that person have passed by each other because of work. Rather than the two of them moving towards the future while sharing their thoughts with each other, they may have each had their own path or direction of life.
That may be unavoidable.
Conversely, life is different, and there may be encounters and breakups in the midst of various encounters, and there may be timing from time to time.
There are times when they move in a completely different direction due to accidental differences.
Now I think it's okay to take a break and make time for you and that person to take a leisurely look at yourself.
Please try to make each one feel comfortable, take care of and heal both your mind and body, and reset your mind.
I sincerely pray that you and that person will face each other firmly into the future and that you will be able to live a fulfilling and rich life with each other. We wholeheartedly agree

Do self-care so you can draw boundaries without asking too much from your partner

How comfortable you are about how often you are in touch with your romantic partner probably depends on the person, but if it's too frequent or if you ask for a reply too much, your partner will feel pressured and get tired, right?

Boundaries in love are something I want to cherish. If you cross the boundary line with your partner due to your own demands, you will feel that they are not being respected and lose their trust and feelings.
I felt that the words “I want to take a break for a while” were also a message that they were tired.

As for the state of mind, focus on what is right in front of you. They probably have feelings for their partner, but let them say that it's not like they can do anything about it. Also, since it's currently in an ambiguous state, I said to my opponent, “I'm sorry that I only pushed through my own wishes. Let's express our remorse and gratitude by saying “Thank you as always.” That alone can put a break in your feelings.

Also, if you continue to work, let's give them a pleasant stimulus while taking a good rest. Breathing in the outside air and watching the scenery also stimulates the five senses. The posture of the body and the stretching of the mind will also prepare you for a positive feeling.

I hope you can take good self-care yourself and draw boundaries without asking too much of your partner.
