Does enlightenment really exist?
Does enlightenment really exist? How many enlightened monks are there?
Does enlightenment really exist? How many enlightened monks are there?
There is enlightenment! But I still haven't realized it either, and I haven't met a monk who has enlightened it again.
Zen monks are prepared for enlightenment of “not being there.”
This is the heart of not only Zen monks, but also those who aim to become a person.
(Absent) Misai
Monks are in the world of ascetic practice until they die, and they say “they don't exist,” which means “there are still more things to learn.” Once enlightened, there is even more enlightenment.
It is a big misunderstanding and “conceited” to think that this is enough, that I have nothing to learn anymore. Mastering any path is difficult. However, that person's growth stops when they think they have nothing to learn anymore. Not only are there monks who are “absent,” there is no end to learning from any person. If you think this is enough and you have nothing to learn, it won't lead to the truth. “Absence, Absence, and Further Training” while always looking at oneself is a lifelong ascetic practice, lifelong learning, and lifelong active duty. “Don't throw up, don't throw high (high).” There's still so much to be done.
This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.
“Enlightenment” is the highest state, and I think of course it will be reached depending on the causal factors (causes and conditions) to reach that state.
So, I think enlightenment exists, but as an “entity,” it does not mean that “this is enlightenment” from the beginning, it is something that is possible as a result of appropriate causation.
So, when it comes to causation, the cause is a “bodhi heart” (strong will to aim for enlightenment), and relationships accumulate “wisdom” (understanding of emptiness) and “good fortune (merit/convenience).”
An enlightened monk...
I think they wouldn't understand unless they were enlightened.
Understanding the supreme truth in Buddhism is called outrageous and ridiculous desolation, and there are places where it is quite difficult to express it in words, etc.
It's hard for us ordinary people to visit. However, if they are enlightened people, it seems that they can freely detect each other.
In other words, until you attain enlightenment yourself, you honestly don't know who has attained enlightenment.
Anyway, first of all, I want to walk the path of Buddhism steadily towards enlightenment.
Kawaguchi Hidetoshi Gassho
Worries The cause of suffering is worry.
It seems that there are ten major types of afflictions.
Isn't enlightenment about ten types of afflictions disappearing in sequence?
Worries don't go away all at once; they gradually disappear, so it is said that there are stages (4 stages) of enlightenment.
For example, in the first stage of enlightenment, it seems that the three afflictions of personal opinion, doubt, and interrogation of abstinence disappear.
I think a list of afflictions is the opposite of a list of enlightenment.
If there is an affliction called anger, there must be an enlightenment on the other side that anger will go away.
Buddha (Buddha) overcame all ten kinds of afflictions and was freed from all kinds of worries and suffering.
In the days when the Buddha was around, many people learned about it through the Buddha's guidance.
However, it may be quite difficult to understand today's society.
I think it would be nice to at least be enlightened in the next life, and I think this world is a preparation period for enlightenment in the next life.
Also, it is difficult to determine whether others are actually aware.
However, it can be said that Buddhists believe (agree) that enlightenment is theoretically possible.
Nice to meet you!
There is enlightenment... but in the Jodo Shinshu, “I” will tell you that “I” cannot attain enlightenment while I am alive.
This is because if I can't give up my greed, I can't be satisfied with any kind of ascetic practice, nor can I accomplish it.
Learn that enlightenment = enlightenment = being able to understand good fortune = understanding everything = Buddha...
It's difficult to understand things correctly; do you know Ged Senki, for example?
Speaking of Ghibli movies, this is the opening scene.
I'm trying to sink the raging ocean, but I can't... “I don't know the real name,” so the words don't get through to the ocean.
What I call television is a name given by people. If the Buddha sees this, I think with a bad head that if someone who understands everything sees it, it will be a long name like “what are the three primary colors of electric plasma light” (laughs)
Just by looking at people, you can see the past, present, and future, and you don't even have a conversation because you can measure all the bad points and traumas you don't even understand.
In the Jodo Shinshu sect, you can't get away from your desires while you're alive, so when you die, a Buddha called Amida welcomes you to a place called the Pure Land that you created, and gives you wisdom and mercy.
They give me the virtues I've practiced... they make me a virtue bento, and when I eat them, they nourish me... that's what it feels like when broken down.
So, if there is a living Buddha, it would be big news.
Big news about Christ's resurrection!
However, it seems that it is still different when it comes to high priests of the sect who practice on their own (there was a monk who went to the Thousand Day Summit last year, wasn't it?)
It seems that looking at reality, accepting mistakes, and choosing words to convey correctness “cannot be said by ordinary people.”
It's a story I heard from a Jodo Shinshu teacher, and I'd like to try it too.
In that respect, I think it can be said that there are Arahans (respected ascetics).
I'm sorry for the absurd answer.
In the first place, the reason why I was bombarded with answers in this hasunoha is because I wanted to spread the word that Japanese Buddhism also has proper enlightenment.
I just want the world to know about the existence of a certain monk.
This is a person named Inoue Kudo Roshi.
Finally, the book finally came out recently.
There is also a video, but try attending the zazen session in person.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GodG42DEYgE
Currently, they are invited from Shizuoka every month to hold the Dharma ceremony at Fukusho-ji Temple in Ebisu and Sakagami Jogan-ji Temple in Nakano.
This master is a real master of the Soto sect and has gained enlightenment by possessing Inga.
If you search for an enlightened monk in the Soto sect, you will always end up with Inoue Kudo Roshi.
Enlightenment can't be helped even when people are enlightened.
Buddhism is about solving one's own hardships, such as old age, illness, death, etc., and greed.
To do that, enlightenment is necessary.
Raishi Inoue has been invited as a lecturer at the Saitama Prefecture Chief Priest's Workshop for 9 consecutive years, and enlightenment study sessions have been held.
In fact, the monks, who didn't believe in enlightenment either, changed.
There are treasured DVDs and sound sources. If you want one, please send an SD card to our mountain with a reply envelope.
The sound source is sent. The same teacher for 9 years. Why is that? There is no Shoshi who is that aware.
No matter how much they are enlightened, no matter how loud they are, it cannot be said that they are “enlightened if you don't make people aware.”
Under the master, many people, regardless of monks and customs, are watched.
It's a good idea to ask questions directly at a zazen session to confirm.
The reason why there are so many monks in the Buddhist world who deny enlightenment is that they are unenlightened, so it would be a problem if there were enlightened monks.
There is a mentality of being afraid of the real thing.
The majority of Japanese monks are monks called Teranomusco who just happened to be born in a temple.
There are many monks whose mentors are parents who do not seek enlightenment due to poor bodhicitta and daoism.
As soon as I learned manners etc. in the industry, I joined a family called a temple.
It's not really a place for training.
Eventually, they became professional monks within the organization.
That used to be the case with me.
Therefore, even in the industry, monks who are aware of top management or leadership positions are rare.
Monks with personal connections, political power, and advertising skills take important positions.
Every denomination is similar.
You're just an old man if you don't realize how good a person is called the abbot of one sect.
Please seek enlightened Buddhism.
