Nice to meet you, Seika. I read your question.
Even lay believers without making offerings to monks are wondering if they can attain Buddhism right away if they recite mantras.
I'll write a little bit about attaining Buddhism immediately.
Buddhism originated in India and was introduced to China and Japan along the Silk Road. In Buddhism, it is said that while being reincarnated over and over again like the Buddha, they accumulate virtue and practice to reach enlightenment. However, in Esoteric Buddhism, they tied a seal on their hands, recited mantras in their mouths, and explained that if they think of the Buddha in their heart, anyone can quickly become one with the Buddha. This is the instant attainment of Buddhism.
So, if you don't know the signs and mantras, isn't it possible to attain Buddhism right away? The question comes to mind.
Let's interpret it so that we can apply it a little more to our daily lives.
Please think of putting a mark on your hand to mean “do a clean act.” It's about not unnecessarily killing living things, not stealing them, and not having an affair. In other words, it's an act done with the body.
To recite mantras in one's mouth means “use pure words.” Don't lie, don't say compliments, don't speak ill of it, and don't use dualistic language.
Thinking of the Buddha in your heart means “think about pure things.” Don't be sparing, don't get angry, and don't think the wrong way of thinking. In other words, it's about cleaning the mind. I think it's okay to paraphrase it as a fencing operation.
In summary, I'm explaining that by cleaning your body, mouth, and mind, you can quickly become one with the Buddha (become a Buddha instantly).
I'm praying that Seika will be able to clean her body, mouth, and mind so that she can attain Buddha right away.
