Nice to meet you, Kiyoka.
I had a relationship before I became a monk, and I stepped into the world of fortune telling, and I enjoy fortune telling even now that I live as a monk.
I learned that Kobo Daishi Kukai, the founder of the Shingon sect, is one of the sutras brought back from the Tang dynasty, that there is esoteric astrology based on the Sukiyo Sutra, and that since ancient times, high priests have used calendars for the dates of ascetic practices and for watching the dates of prayers (prayer of blessings), and now they use it to see their own good fortune and the dates of ascetic practices as an extension of their hobbies.
I don't give them a sign, but I sometimes get asked by friends, acquaintances, and old customers to watch it.
So, I think what I write is different from other teachers, but I hope it's helpful in some way.
In the first place, fortune telling is the study and use of calendars, and calendars record the movements of celestial bodies and the movements of nature. It is there to utilize natural forces (qi) flows and changes in climate in human social life.
Old-fashioned weather forecasts, so to speak.
Change clothes and meals when it's warm and cold, and change bags and shoes depending on the weather. etc.
Also, fortune telling has significance in observing the current situation and one's own personality and nature, teaching one's own weaknesses and weaknesses while making use of the surrounding situation, giving them an opportunity to overcome them, and at the same time making them discover the strengths of that person who may have spent their time unaware, and nurture them.
Recently, however, there has been an increase in the number of things made with Tekito, and there are also things that still lead to fraud if they are meant to be temporarily enjoyed by everyone.
Nevertheless, there are many people who are attracted to it probably because such people do not have faith, faith, or devotion within themselves that serve as a firm foundation for their beliefs or feelings.
I want to look at the “invisible world” rather than the “visible world” in order to look away from my current situation.
As a result, my life is swayed by others who say plain things.
Also, if you are a proper person, you won't let them become dependent.
There is no need to force yourself to quit, but what you should rely on is yourself and the people around you who support you, not fortune telling.
You are the master of your life.
As an aside, if fortune-telling (only) would solve everything, there would be no need for doctors or the military, and I don't think fortune teller teachers would go out of their way to take money on the streets to tell fortunes for others.
After winning the lottery, they must have freely volunteered to do their fortune telling (laughs)
