I want to enlighten
I want to understand.
What should I do?
I want to understand.
What should I do?
Precepts (practice of lifestyle habits such as the Five Commandments),
Determination (also called meditation, spiritual concentration practice, cessation),
Wisdom (wisdom, practice to eliminate worry by observing to notice the truth, also called observation)
The three are called three schools.
In order to understand, it is necessary to practice the three sciences.
Determination () is also called samatha meditation or shamata.
Wisdom (view) is also called Vipassana meditation or vivashana.
Also, if you think it is difficult to practice the three sciences in this world, there is also a belief that first let's do acts to pass away in the Pure Land, which is an environment where it is easy to practice the three sciences.
Seidomon explains the basic teachings of Buddhism aiming for enlightenment by practicing the three sciences,
The teachings that aim for death in the Pure Land, where it is easy to practice Seidomon, are called Jodomon.
The Tendai sect, Shingon sect, etc. perform both sanctification and purification, but the Jodo sect and Jodo Shinshu almost only practice Jodo Gate.
The commandments are written on this site. http://www.j-theravada.net/pali/key-vinaya-sila.html
There are various methods for determination, but for example, please see the Mercy Meditation on the same site.
For information on wisdom, please see the Vipassana Meditation on the same site.
This is an example of a specific implementation method.
I think enlightenment means that afflictions classified into ten types disappear in order.
Worry is the cause of worry and suffering, so if you become aware and your worries decrease, your worries and suffering will decrease.
The purpose of doing the three studies is to weaken (eventually eliminate) worries and reduce and destroy worries and suffering.
Meditation practices can be expected to have the effect of cultivating concentration, enhancing wisdom (observation) ability, and controlling anxiety.
Worry is an innate misunderstanding that living things have, and once you notice the truth, your misunderstanding will disappear.
Wisdom (observation) is necessary in order to notice misunderstandings.
Enlightenment starts with a mind centered on thought,
It means a state of mind that has switched to a factual brain and is no longer affected by one's own thoughts.
examples
・Buddha saw the star and realized... I became one with the fact that it was a star from thought
・Kagon's Attack on Bamboo... Ishikoro hit bamboo and got away from my mind
・Dogen's mental and physical decline... the sound of a monk in the hall being hit left me thinking
This is called nonthinking because it has moved away from thought. (Dogen)
Suffering only occurs after thoughts and thoughts, so by freeing yourself from thoughts, of course, there is no worry or occurrence.
Every human being revolves around thought.
It's a way of life familiar with thought.
Enlightenment is a “way of life familiar with facts” before and after thought.
In order to gain enlightenment, there is no choice but to look at [where the heart is not thinking (fact) = unthinking].
For example, let's say there are two bicycles here: thought and fact (non-thought).
To reach a state of enlightenment,
From now on, I'm not going to pedal my bicycle of thought at all.
Thoughts and thoughts overflow more and more as you push the bicycle of thought pedal.
That takes you away from the world of facts before and after thoughts occur, the world of enlightenment.
So, by pedaling a factual bicycle, you can properly gain enlightenment.
Zazen and meditation are recommended. This is because you're directly pedaling facts.
If you are not good at zazen meditation or meditation, you should live your daily life with a thought activity in mind.
Before trying to be enlightened or want to be enlightened, “that thing” is just right.
That “state of certainty,” which is neither enlightenment, nor hesitation, or taken for granted, is always right in front of me.
Many people fail to reach enlightenment because they don't see “there,” make decisions and try to move towards it from within even having obtained the enlightenment of their own ideals that they have imagined in their heads.
All you have to do is take the plunge and abandon your desire to enlighten.
If you think about wanting to be enlightened, or not being enlightened, a desire to be enlightened arises.
Since a desire for one moment arises, they become unfamiliar with the present.
A place where one thought is destroyed, everything is just like scratching the surface.
I just have that fact right in front of me. There is “there” equality.
If you don't handle it “there,” it simply means that fact is exactly what it is. You don't have to make the festival too difficult, just get familiar with the facts and “there.”
If you leave it to Amida, you'll understand eventually.
It doesn't take any effort.
When you die, you can naturally gain enlightenment.
If you want to be enlightened right away, I think you should ask someone who is enlightened.
I don't know the state of enlightenment, so please rely on those who do.
There are many types of enlightenment.
If you want to attain complete enlightenment, the Three Faces of Abandara, you will never be able to attain it, even if you have extraordinary ambitions.
Tendai Daishi left a method for obtaining six cleansing roots by practicing the Sanmahaku Dharma, but it's definitely not feasible.
The state of supreme enlightenment is still above that, and the training for enlightenment is strict and far-reaching.
However, small enlightenment is close at hand, and everyone has greater or lesser enlightenment.
Enlightenment is similar to falling into understanding.
Things that have come to pass will never come back over and over again.
If I were to come back, I wouldn't understand.
Please start by taking things around you to the heart one by one and not getting attached to them.
Mr. ZENSHU
This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.
When I say “I want to be enlightened,” of course, I also want to understand my humble life.
Buddhism is a teaching aimed at enlightenment and nirvana. Therefore, I am convinced that if you practice Buddhism thoroughly, you will surely reach enlightenment and nirvana.
So what should we do in order to understand...
I answered a little bit last time, but basically it is necessary to rely on Shakyamuni's 84,000 Dharma and walk a definite staircase towards enlightenment.
Also, as shown in the humble diagram below, which I have shown in my humble studies so far, I believe that it is possible to eventually reach enlightenment by correctly and surely practicing the two resources of “wisdom (understanding of the sky) and blessing (convenience and merit)” and determining “affliction disorder” and “intellectual disability.”

Next, with regard to “enlightenment,” I have dealt with the following questions until now, but if I were to talk about the content, I think it would still be extremely difficult.
“On Enlightenment”
http://blog.livedoor.jp/hasunoha_kawaguchi/archives/cat_443680.html
1. Enlightenment is self-proof (something proven within oneself), and it is impossible to convey it to others. However, if they are people who have realized each other, I think there are things they can understand.
1. The content of enlightenment is a state of desolation and outrage, and originally, language expression (fixation, obsession) is unforgivable.
1. Enlightenment is also “empty,” and it is like an illusion that is not formed as an entity, selfishness, or self-phase, and an illusory person is trying to capture “enlightenment,” which is like an illusion, in terms of our self, mind, and cognitive effects, which are originally illusory.
At any rate, enlightenment does not mean “there is no”. It's there. Yes, but in order to understand what it is, it means that it is something you can't understand unless you truly understand it yourself.
Let's continue to work hard and do our best towards enlightenment together.
