This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.
When it comes to recommending Buddhist books, they have already stopped updating them a long time ago, but I think the following pages will be helpful.

If you learn in earnest, my personal recommendation is the “Dalai Lama's Buddhist Philosophy Lectures” (Daito Publishing), which is a compilation of lectures by His Holiness the Dalai Lama from quite a long time ago. I think it will be a good book for studying Buddhism in a systematic manner. However, a certain amount of prerequisite knowledge is also required.

The 14th Dalai Lama teaches us about human suffering and the path to extinction. Centering on an explanation of the basic Buddhist doctrine of “The Four Sacred Truths (Four Sacred Truths),” he presents extremely advanced philosophical discussions in an easy-to-understand manner, and also shows in impressive words how to cultivate a heart of compassion and a path to cultivate one's own mind and enhance oneself. Furthermore, there is also the “Dalai Lama's Introduction to Buddhism” (Forest of Wisdom Library). It's a paperback edition and the price is reasonable, so you can start here.
Also, in order to further deepen learning, it is necessary to read the Buddhist scriptures, which are of course the original texts, papers explaining the Buddhist scriptures, and even commentaries that explain the thesis.
Let's work hard together..
