Shinbon pagoda

The ossuary was held a few years after my parents passed away. It was the beginning of this year, so I wonder if the next Obon festival will be called New Bon. How many memorial services does it have nothing to do with it?
I think my other relative's memorial service pagoda was in the 20,000 position, but this time, I'm the client, so it's going to be expensive, isn't it? It depends on whether they do Shinbon at the temple, whether they sing the sutras alone, or in conjunction with other houses, but I feel like 150,000 is expensive if it's just a pagoda.
What should I say to make it cheaper, thank you.

Mr. Cubeboy.

First of all, the question asked, “I had an ossuary a few years after my parents passed away; this is the beginning of this year; will the next Obon be called Shinbon?” That being said,
New Bon refers to the first Obon festival that is celebrated after the 49th day (also called first bon), so it does not fall on the New Bon (Nibon).

Also, we recommend that you visit each temple directly for memorial services and memorial services. What I'm saying here is only a reference opinion, and it's quite difficult.

It's not Shinbon

What Cubeboy is thinking
I think it's a good idea to ask the family temple honestly.
No matter how much I think about this, I don't know how the family temple will respond.

Go directly to the temple. I think they'll take the circumstances into consideration as well.

Remembering our ancestors and putting our hands together during the Obon festival is important, isn't it?

As for the matter of offerings, it depends on the temple, and if the purpose or region is also different, I can't say anything...

Why don't you honestly tell the temple what you think about offerings? There may also be circumstances, and I think they will take them into consideration.

Why did my family choose a path to support a temple rather than a cemetery?

What is important is the feeling of caring for parents, a sense of religion, and a sense of Bodhi in terms of Buddhism.
(^-^) First, before you think about making it cheaper or getting a bonus,
① Why does my house belong to that family temple instead of a cemetery from generation to generation?
② I think it is necessary to reconsider what social significance the position of being a member of the family temple has.
The amount can be whatever you want, and I can understand the feeling of wanting to lower the memorial service by holding a New Bon memorial service. However, every temple has a temple attendant called a caretaker, and the amount that was discussed by everyone is that amount, and since all other parishioners have paid that amount, I also think they should be adjusted.
It's a different story if people around you are also complaining about that amount no matter what. Wouldn't it be a good idea to ask the temple or caretaker if you have any complaints?
Incidentally, neither the memorial service nor the Shinbon temple “have pagodas bought.”
You may think that the payment fee for Shinbon is expensive, but the cost I'm asking you to pay is not just the price of the pagoda.
As a temple, during the New Bon Festival, they invite Daitoku and high priests from all over the country, perform memorial services for the deceased, and pay them as rewards.
Building a pagoda also means
It contains various meanings, such as ① establishing (building) a bodhisattva heart ② building a pagoda ③ giving shape to a memorial service ④ protecting that sect or temple with offerings and donations. There are also people who have moved to an emerging religion because they don't like temples. However, after all, the same is true for emerging religions. By protecting what everyone should protect, they contribute in the form of alms, donations, or under some kind of pretext in order to protect that organization.

Even in Saitama, the market price is different for each.
I'm also a temple in Saitama, but the payment fee varies depending on the location.
If you simply want the money to be reduced, I think there is also a way to use this as a trigger to be transferred to a temple that seems to be a reasonable amount. (^_^)

It's a difficult question

To Cubeboy

It's not the New Bon Festival.

As many teachers have said when it comes to offerings
I can't say anything about it.
However, it is true that I feel a sense of incongruity.
How about conveying that feeling?
Talk about the situation and ask them to explain it to you.
