I can't decide for myself

I've always been very bad at making my own decisions.

I can't make my own decisions to the extent that I think I always want to live according to someone else's decisions. If you can't decide for someone, you don't know what to do and you become very anxious.

Until I was in high school, there were few situations where I had to make my own decisions, so I managed to get by even with this kind of personality. Recently, however, I've been faced with many situations where I have to make my own decisions. And every time I see the kids around me making their own decisions for granted, I'm impatient that I have to do that too. I'm so impatient, but in the end, I can't make my own decisions, and I'm asking my friends to decide what to do...

I think the reason I can't make my own decisions is probably because I'm afraid that my decisions will come with responsibility. Also, I think it's probably because of my personality that takes everything without question, “there is such a way of thinking,” and eventually worries about what is right.

Every day I am full of disgust with my fluffy self that doesn't have responsibilities, and I'm worried about whether I can live with this kind of personality. How can I become a person who can make my own decisions? (I'm asking people to decide when I'm listening like this... lol)
I'm sorry for taking so long. It may be a boring problem, but I would be happy if you could say something.

Decisive people don't make decisions for themselves

Imagawa Yoshimoto's army attacked. So what do we do? The answer is “know or not!” That's it. The reason is “because there is no material for judgment.”

This information has come in. “The enemy's military strength is 5 to 10 times this one.” Then it looks like this. “Well, it's no use fighting from the front with a direct attack method. You have no choice but to surrender, or if you fight, lock up the castle and wait for reinforcements, or make a surprise attack in one or eight.” Hi, just one judgment material came up, and “do you know it or not!” The plan was narrowed down to 3 based on the status. Sumbarashi!

Thinking about it further... “Where do you call reinforcements... aren't the Saito family and Kitabatake family on the other side in a dispute with us!” Hi, the number of judgment materials increased by 1, and I was able to narrow it down to 2 choices. Shall we surrender? a strange move? what do you do what do you do??

Then I got this information! “Imagawa's general revealed the location. What's more, the enemies are developed in a V shape, so if you break through the middle, it seems like you can ignore other enemies and pinpoint the enemy's general!” If that's pretty much the case in a surprise attack, then there's no need to surrender! Thus, Oda Nobunaga went to a speed race with the cavalry, and after that, as you all know, Okehazama was right in the middle.

Making your own decisions doesn't actually mean having your own intentions; it's an accumulation of searching for materials to make decisions.
I don't have a habit of searching for judgment materials, so I don't know what to do. I don't have a habit of searching for judgment materials, so I want to follow other people's decisions. I don't have a habit of searching for materials for judgment, so I'm made to dance to the word my own decision. It's all like that.

Why are Hasunoha monks able to answer so many questions? That's because I'm not thinking for myself. They're just mediating the Buddha's teachings. If you read the questions (judgment materials) over and over and compare them with Buddhism (judgment criteria), the direction of the answers will naturally be determined.
Monks have different types of teachings learned from denomination to denomination, and each person interprets those teachings differently. This difference in judgment criteria becomes individuality. So, when you mix it with your own experiences and become comfortable, it becomes a judgment standard you remember with your body from a standard of judgment you think with your head, and it becomes like that person's personality or something like that person's own decisions.

So if you want to make your own decisions, don't face your own personality. These three points are important: scavenging judgment materials around the problem, listening carefully to the lessons of our forefathers and keeping them in a corner of our heart, and creating one's own field of expertise and studying carefully. Personality is something that comes after that.

Choose whatever you like ^_^

Isn't it incomparable to people?
Everyone makes decisions based on their own thoughts. Isn't it just a different way of spending time? That person has their own ideas and makes decisions. It may seem to people that they aren't worried. However, it is something that bothers me.

What shall we eat at the restaurant?
Which is the right choice?

A person who talks about what they want to eat the most with their stomachs and chooses what stimulates them while looking at photos on the menu.
People who value quantity are the most likely to get stuck in their stomachs.
People who decide while looking at their own pockets because they don't have enough money.
A person who is on a diet and makes decisions while worrying about calorie labels.
etc...

Depending on the person, there are ways to make decisions and the time it takes.
There's no such thing as which choice is right.
Originally, to something that was not right or wrong,
I can't decide because I try to think based on that kind of judgment.
My friend ordered pasta, so there's no reason I wouldn't enjoy katsudon. Anything is fine.
Somehow, you're probably living your life while making decisions. What do you think?
It's fine. First, let's stop comparing people.

Failure is a treasure

The results are always no big deal.
If the results aren't good, just start over again. People who don't fail can't grow. Failure is a treasure you pick up in life.

It's not an answer

Daiji is right. perfect! (That's presumptuous, though). Study mathematical theorems and use them to answer questions in actual tests. You don't have to think original from the beginning. Actually, I think mathematics is a discipline for learning itself.
If I were to add one more.
Basically, children acquire behavioral patterns through trial and error. Take some action yourself, look at the results, incorporate what you think is good, and stop it when you think it's no good. From this enormous repetition, human behavior patterns and personalities develop.
The merit of “not making my own decisions” has been deduced as “because I don't want to take responsibility,” but strictly speaking, it's probably because “I don't want to fail”? It's the next step in trial and error where anything goes. Well, I don't want to fail, but the future is uncertain for everyone. Failure is a part of life. So, I'm not saying don't pursue “how to avoid failure,” but what is more important is “how to respond when failure is detected.” Start for now and proceed while making corrections. I think the lightness of manners is important.

You're choosing not to make a decision, aren't you?

Humans ultimately have a choice between the two.
I'm choosing whether to answer this question or not.
Oh, so busy, difficult questions jumped in, and I don't seem to be able to answer them...
→Not responding... This is also a sign of choosing not to answer.
Even if they didn't answer, they chose that too.
It means that they chose not to answer.
It's the same in your case.
・You are choosing to be hesitant.
・I have chosen to stay in a safe zone.
・It seems easier not to choose that one, and I'm choosing the fact that I won't be hurt, so I won't do that.
That's all. No, really?
That's why I use this karakuri.
Is it OK if it continues to rot? I don't like it!
If so, I'll make a decision!
Try setting up a diagram called.
We have no choice but to act.
What is the scariest choice
It's an excuse to say, “I think I'm going to do it.”
This is also because while saying “I think I'm going to do it,” they are running away or choosing not to do it. Don't start using it today.
Because if it doesn't work during an important time, it's meaningless.
When it's important, “I think I'll go,” even Prince Sama of Hakuba, who makes you happy, says it because they can't call out to you. Just thinking about it is less than nembutsu to a horse's ear. Even horses can't hear that voice. Hiheen (crying).
It's raining today. Well, what do we do? laundry
The choice “it's raining, so it won't dry out anyway”
An action option where “you can dry it indoors.” The choice is yours.
