This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.
Amazon's “monk meal,” which has caused a lot of controversy, is neither for nor against, but I believe that the original purpose and practice of Buddhism and Buddhism is “the holy work of sentient beings” (sacred acts to save all sentient beings, those who lose their way into reincarnation), and I believe that the various conveniences, even if convenient, are suitable for the original purpose and practice of Buddhism and Buddhism will eventually become important.
Even with Amazon's “monk service,” I think the question that should be asked is not simply relaxation, but whether true salvation or peace of mind is possible.
Buddhism and business, Buddhism and profit, Buddhism and management... of course, there are times when you think they are incompatible, but in response to changes in the times and environment, the fact that you must play a role in firmly promoting the original purpose and practice of “the sacred work of sentient beings” while maintaining a balance between what should be tolerated and flexible, and what must never be compromising or concessions, is probably the most important way for monks and temples I'm thinking about it.
I know that I would like to continue striving to practice Buddhism from now on while thoroughly reflecting on this immature person, so that they can walk the middle path like a rhinoceros horn in order to surely practice “the sacred work of sentient beings.”
