What is the sky? Is seeking love again?
Study, soccer, popularity. From my elementary school days, when everything was best, I experienced setbacks for the first time after going up to junior high school.
Why doesn't the director recognize me, and why isn't my favorite kid loved me? I continued to worry about it for over a year, and the conclusion I came to when I was 14 was to “turn to the giving side.”
When happiness is placed on receiving approval or love, one's own happiness is always influenced by the judgment of others. I thought I could control my happiness if I could make it a pleasure to give to others instead of wanting it.
Then, when I put that way of life into practice, strangely enough, success, approval, and love that I had wanted and couldn't get until then began to flow into my own hands.
I remember being a little scared in such a state, and if you don't save what you have gained and give it to your surroundings as soon as possible, something more than that will always come in again. I objectively view that they have lived a very blessed life until now due to such a cycle.
question ①
Recently, isn't this cyclical effect (when you empty yourself, color comes in) the essence of the sky, or color, as described in Buddhism? I've come to think about it. How about it?
question ②
My wife points out that “you are running away from being loved.” Certainly, I can see that the moment I seek love from my wife, my own stability of mind, which I have built by not asking for it, collapses.
However, as my wife said, I have begun to think that seeking love is also love.
We would love to hear your opinions on whether we should go beyond giving and asking.
