Treatment refusal due to bipolar disorder and breast cancer

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder about 5 years ago, and I was announced to have breast cancer this summer.

Since it was discovered at an early stage, it is planned to be completely cured with anticancer drug treatment and surgery. But I didn't want to be completely cured. If possible, I think that if they had metastasized, they would have been able to die young without choosing suicide.

When I discovered breast cancer, I first thought it was a doctor, but I thought this was a human obsession with life.

But I couldn't do it if I worried about my parents, worked while receiving painful anticancer drug treatment, paid expensive medical expenses, and transferred this kind of thing.

Will refusal of treatment be treated the same as suicide?

Life is sweet

Tobiyasama

Nice to meet you, my name is Inoue Hirofumi from Hasunoha.

Now, not only is the suffering of bipolar disorder, but also the fact that cancer has been announced, and there are many things I can guess about that suffering.

Now, it's a matter of suicide and refusal of treatment, but I think they are fundamentally different.
Also, “refusal of treatment” here is just an undesired refusal of life-prolonging treatment.

As mentioned in the story, if it is a treatment that has the potential to be cured, please do not refuse it and accept it.

I can't put it all into words, but life is worth living.

The Buddha left the words “Life is sweet” in his later years.

I pray that Tobiya-sama will be able to enjoy this sweet life to the fullest without refusing treatment.

I think it would be good if bipolar disorder improved.

Thank you for your support, Tobiya-san.

It is often debated whether taking one's own life would be suicide. The conclusion I usually arrive at is “due to motivation.”
The meaning of action depends on motivation. For example, the act of cutting someone else's stomach with a knife is murder if you want to kill them, but if you want to save them for surgery, it's not murder even if that person dies. If you refuse treatment because you want to “run away from this world” or “I want to disappear and disappear,” it may be suicide. If you think, “If we die the same way, we refuse treatment in a positive sense and want to spend the time we have left over meaningfully,” it probably isn't suicide.

Looking at the text of the consultation, it seems that she wants to die as soon as possible. Is there any reason for that? Death, whether early or late, is precious, but it hurts my heart to die with an unhappy feeling. Can't we do anything to improve people with bipolar disorder? If you're depressed, you're not suited to treating cancer, right?

Did you get the answer?
I hope to see you again.

Don't be killed by a doctor

You just need to change the treatment (^o^) I guess it's not called suicide.
This is an age where doctors can be chosen. An acquaintance says that when she fasted and continued to drink enzyme drinks one bottle a day for a week, her cancer numbers dropped drastically. It seems effective to do zazen meditation and get away from a life of thought as much as possible. It seems that speaking in a loud voice without lying to yourself and without hiding anything is not stressful. As is the case with the mental side of cancer, it is also something that mostly comes from ingested food. As modern society has become more convenient, many foodstuffs with plenty of pesticides and additives are on the market. I'm also sensitive, so I've started to be careful with food.
Cancer should surrender to doctors who are proud to cure it.
According to the original nurse's story, there are also stories that are unbearable to listen to... they just get drugged in bad places, they only make money from hospitalization expenses, and it's not the hospital's responsibility to heal or not heal...
When it comes to bipolar disorder, the number of people who say they have been cured by zazen instead of boasting about it has increased quite a bit.
There is also an increase in the number of ways to take substances needed by the brain from food without relying on medicine, such as the fact that food is pesticide-free, it is good to keep eating natural yeast ingredients, and it is good to take animal protein on a regular basis. Please be careful not to be eaten by a doctor.
Some doctors only sell drugs for pharmaceutical companies.
There are many government office workers and clerical people in this world.
I think it is necessary to have a careful second and third opinion on whether or not he is such a person, and whether it is a teacher who can seriously deal with my illness. (^o^) The best medicine is a smile (^o^)
First, let's laugh with hope. We are now in an age where cancer can be cured.
Even if cancer is cured, one day you will die. Then let's try living a little longer.
Actually, it is said that my Zen buddies will be full this year. There are also people who can't live even if they want to. Don't talk about things that disdain life! Live, live, and live until you die!
If you're going to die anyway, leave something influential that will drive someone even after death, continue to support someone, and make your soul live! Isn't it sad to die full of complaints? Let's keep laughing until we die.

Still, I want them to survive

Tobiya-sama

What a painful and painful feeling... I was conflicted about how to tell them...

On the question on http://hasunoha.jp/questions/285, I'm tired of hearing the words “you have to cherish the life you have been given.” I also received harsh words,” and I answered, “Even so, I want you to say “being alive is precious”...

Preconceived arguments, formal theories, and pretty things aren't enough...

In Buddhism, suicide and suicide are basically taboo. This is because it becomes an “bad act” (bad act), and it is inevitable that you will eventually receive “bad consequences” (bad results). Motives leading to suicide or suicide are roughly mostly due to ignorance (fundamental ignorance) or worry. Also, as a motive for the person himself, even if it was not intended, even if it causes other inconvenience or sadness, suffering, or hesitation, it becomes “bad work,” and it is thought that it is inappropriate.

Are there any exceptions... this is a difficult point... whether suicide or suicide as an act of altruism or good virtue is permitted based on “mercy”... I asked “about one's own death” http://hasunoha.jp/questions/98, but after all, I can only say that it is extremely difficult in my current humble life...

Tobiya-sama probably thinks “it will end” if you die... the theory of annihilation and nihilism goes against the middle path (of course, the theory of permanent residence and the theory of substance also go against the middle path), so in Buddhism, they don't think so. Let's be clear. The continuous state of mental inheritance will continue in the next life and the next. This state of affairs will have a major impact on reincarnation. Along with good causes and good effects, bad causes and bad causes and bad effects...

Therefore, it is hoped that people will learn Buddhist wisdom firmly, do good deeds, and perform acts of mercy and altruism while breaking through ignorance and distress without accumulating bad acts while being controlled by ignorance and worry.

I know that by all means, I hope you can live, survive, and even while fighting illness, take this opportunity to learn Buddhism firmly, and by all means, try to do good deeds as much as possible while keeping your state of mind clean, and if possible, strive for acts of mercy and altruism. up to this point due to the character limit...
