The meaning of things that don't come true no matter how much you wish or effort

Excuse me for the long post.
My grandmother passed away in August. I was 92 years old. I had a sudden stroke in February, had pneumonia, and was unconscious for about 1 month. From there, I regained consciousness and moved to a sanatorium hospital, recovered smoothly from my stroke, and I was on the verge of being discharged. My grandmother was also looking forward to returning home. Immediately after that, the doctor discovered that the interstitial pneumonia I had originally had worsened without my knowledge, and I died about 3 weeks after that. After the onset of the disease, there was really no break every day, and all 3 family members showed up at the hospital about 2 hours and 30 minutes by car to take care of them. I held my unconscious grandmother's hand from the morning of the day she passed away until the moment she passed away. I thought I shouldn't give up hope as long as I live. But he passed away. But the moment I passed away, I was convinced that all my efforts were completely meaningless and nothing if I died. No matter how hard you try, it won't happen if you die.

The story suddenly changes, but there is a comic book called “JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.” Among them, it's a story about America in the Wild West, and although I can't say it well, characters from a family that have had special technology in a certain country and have made a living from generation to generation in medical practice and execution appear. At one point, a woman who went blind due to her husband's DV is brought to the character's clinic due to an injury at work. The characters are convinced that they can cure a woman's blindness with her own special technology, so they try to fix it, but due to just a few coincidences, she doesn't cure her blindness, and she loses her light forever. To my son who is shocked that he couldn't cure her, which was supposed to be cured, the character's father said, “I knew I, as a father, could cure her blindness with special technology. But it didn't heal intentionally. She is being kept alive because she is blind. This is because if blindness is cured, there is a possibility that the husbands of those in power who carried out DV will take even the life of her now able to see.”

I'm sorry for not being able to say what I wanted to say after all. However, when I remember the feeling of my grandmother's death, I think of this comic for some reason.
I can't even think about how they are connected. What I want to say at the end of the day is, as the title suggests, what exactly does it mean if no matter how much you wish, no matter how hard you try, it doesn't come true. Actually, I'd like to get more in-depth and carefully warm up my own opinions, but anything is fine, so I'd be happy if you could say anything. Thank you for your support.

It's so wonderful to believe in the possibility that I didn't give up until the end.

I would like to express my sincere condolences that left a regretful departure where you were unable to prolong your life even with medical care.

People have a lifespan. Among them, I think they have reached the best lifespan. I think it was precisely because I lived through many “miracles, efforts, and wishes” until the age of 92 that I passed away.

I feel that my grandmother must have left for the country of the Buddha with the joy of being close to her until the end.

There is a saying that people can choose how they live, but they don't choose how to die. It's lonely.

“One sickness disaster” means that having one illness allows you to live a long time by being careful about lifestyle habits such as health.
It was precisely because I was still blind in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure that my opponent also ended up wondering if this was OK.

I have a kind heart that cares for my grandmother, and I know that my grandmother also has the merit of returning to the state rather than the Pure Land.

I haven't read that work, so I don't know, but if I were to interpret it without permission,
The DV husband regretted making his wife blind, and after that, he converted and treated his wife kindly.
However, if that blindness were cured, the wife would be assaulted by her husband again, like before, and she didn't heal it because she thought so?
You held your grandmother's hand the whole time.
I was able to do that because my grandmother became ill.
If your grandmother hadn't been sick, you wouldn't have held her hand the whole time.
Maybe that area came back to mind when it came across with that work.
Wishing and making an effort are not in vain; they are very valuable.
In modern society, only results are required rather than processes, aren't they? Athletes often say in sports interviews that they want to stick to the results.
However, in Buddhism, the process is more important than the result.
The Buddha said. To live is to make an effort. Those who don't make an effort are already dead.
Please continue to hope for what you should hope for and make an effort for what you should strive for.

“What exactly does it mean that no matter how much we wish for it and no matter how hard we try, it doesn't come true”

When people live, they only need their own strength, effort, and wishes
It's not something that becomes possible; it's bigger and more certain before one's strength
It is said to make you notice that a harmonious force is at work
I think it makes sense.

I don't think anyone was born with the intention of being born,
You can see things even if you don't try to look at them, and they try to move your heart
It works properly even without it.
Control your own senses, thoughts, and emotions necessary for living
I don't think they seem to be doing it.
To live is when great power is at work before one's own strength
I feel it.
Each person is separated from the world and lives separately as an individual
There is also such an aspect, but at the same time, I think it can be called life,
It is said that we can only live if we are supported by great strength
I think there is such an aspect, or rather a basic one.
Things like good and evil, having or not, beginning and end
It is something that is above people as individuals, and the great power that supports people,
When you're above work and above that flow, when you're connected,
I think you'll be able to see something more different and essential.
Death does not lead to nothing... etc.
“Namu Amida Buddha” is Namu devotees, entrusts · Amida Buddha is Amitabha,
It seems that it means infinite light, eternal life, and it supports me
I was asked to trust and entrust them with great power and work, and this is exactly what it is
I'm thinking.

I haven't read JoJo's story,
Intentionally, even though the desire to be able to see can be fulfilled
It was because of my mother that it was cut off,
That means that there was positive value even when wishes didn't come true,
I also lost hope that my grandmother would be well
There is a feeling in Haru Yuki-san's heart that there might be some positive value
I thought it might have been associated with it.

“I was convinced that all the effort was totally meaningless and nothing if I died.”
There was, but at the end, Grandma was cherished by her kind family
I think she passed away feeling unbelievably happy.
I don't think the effort was completely pointless.

How do people live in a destiny where they are bound to die?

Hello Haru Yuki-san.

You like JoJo, don't you? I like it too.
Even though she is my favorite grandmother, I have a strong feeling about why she died. But people must do it. If you don't accept that reality, you have no choice but to become a vampire like in comics.

You may be shocked, but for my grandmother, it was 92 years old, a death that surpassed Yonezu. They experienced a life you didn't know more than you, and died while being cared for by their grandchildren. What a wonderful life. Your grandmother's life baton has been passed on to you. How you live to make your grandmother happy will depend on how you live your life from now on. If I were to live as long as my grandmother, I would have at least 50 years left. How to live that life depends on Haru Yuki-san. In JoJo, the descendants are inherited as an ability to use a stand in the form of genetics, and the story unfolds, but what did Haru Yuki-san get from her grandmother, one thing is life, and there must be hidden power from her grandmother.

Please do your best to burn the life your grandmother gave you. And please pass it on to the next generation. That's your job.

Good luck! I'm rooting for you. Gassho
