Should I start an independent business

 I'm indebted to you.

I am a dentist working at a dental clinic specializing in orthodontics.

I've been working for 5 years and I'm not sure whether to start an independent business.

When I first started working, I wanted to go back to my hometown, and I was conscious that I would work because I wanted to know the work of a medical practitioner in order to start a local business.

However, unlike the Tokyo metropolitan area, my hometown is honestly uneasy about whether there is demand for orthodontics only. Also, when it comes to opening a business, it is not enough to only think about medical treatment; when you think about carrying out office work etc. related to clinic management, etc., it takes a step backwards.

I think that if I start an independent business, I will be able to return to my hometown, that I will be able to make more money now, and that I can do medical treatment that I like (or that I am satisfied with), and this is my motivation for starting an independent business.

However, I also think that what is imagined above does not necessarily turn out the way you want. It may not be possible to go to the desired area due to demand issues, and if patients don't come, money won't come in, and if money doesn't come in, I think it's difficult to do the kind of treatment you want.

If you work, you won't be able to go back to your hometown, and your salary is fixed, so you can't decide for yourself. As a general rule, medical treatment also ultimately follows the director's policy.

However, if you work, you don't have to think much about management, and there are alternatives even if you get sick. You can't decide your salary yourself, but you can receive a fixed amount of money on a regular basis.

I also discussed it with my wife, and when I first started working, the director told me, “There is no lifelong employment.” However, recently it has changed to an environment where people jokingly say things like “why don't you work until you're about 65 years old?” I also began to think that my options might have increased depending on how I thought about it. My wife is watching my appearance and personality, and she is of the opinion that if I can work, I should choose that rather than starting an independent business.

As a motivation for starting a business, I think such awareness is necessary, such as contributing to local people, but I'm not saying that there isn't any, but it's still weak.

I'm sorry for your busy schedule, but I'd love to hear your opinions.

We look forward to working with you.

If you go one step further, the scenery will change

One of the issues is whether there is demand in the region where you want to open a business.
If I were to start a business, would I get a loan from a bank?
If that's the case, why don't you ask financial institutions in the region you want to open a business about the actual situation in the region?
Also, even if you ask the local public health center where you want to open a business, you may be able to tell if there is demand.

Either way, when you're at a loss, you're in a situation where you can't make a decision based on the information you have right now.
I might be able to make a decision once I get some new information.
To that end, it seems necessary to act concretely in order to obtain information.
Even if you just take a step forward, the scenery will change.

I'm prepared not to make my own decisions

“I think the number of options has increased”
Exactly, it seems.
Tsumizu was analyzing various things very calmly, and I felt like she had already found the answers herself.
If you feel indecisive about making your wife choose, don't worry about that. This is because the fact that I consulted with my wife and asked for her opinion means that Mr. Tsumizu has been decided.

Patients also choose doctors

“When you become a top guitarist like me, you don't take your guitar to the studio. It's just a cable.
After that, the sound is already in my hand.
I'm the guitar.
The best sound comes out naturally, doesn't it? I don't even know why.
Recently, I came across the word progress in Japanese.
❝ don't choose a Kobo brush ❞, right? It's a rock word.
In other words, real geniuses aren't tools. It's the person himself. That person is that person's appearance.
In other words, you too, are the dentist who works for all of you. If you have the equipment, you're the dentist. It has everything.
If I'm a guitarist without a guitar, why would you go to a mobile dental clinic too. do your best! Good job!”
... Good JO-BUTU Tange that I'd like to say someday.
Hello.
A dentist I know is in his mid-thirties and started a business through the internet.
It seems that the previous one was looking for a successor, and it seems that they bought the whole facility.
He had enough skills, so recently he has put a lot of effort into advertising and has gradually become a popular dentist in his hometown. Currently 39 years old. I'm younger than you.
Starting a business is everyone's dream, right?
Please make it happen.

When opening a business, I wonder if interaction with local residents is also important

When opening a dental clinic, expenses such as land and building acquisition costs (or security deposit, rent), exterior, interior, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, office equipment, advertising fees, labor costs, etc. are estimated. The number of patients that can be expected from the regional population, the number of dental clinics ahead in the region, and the number of patients that can be expected from management conditions are estimated. Even amateurs can think of this kind of thing.

If you ask a medical consultant for an actual simulation, you will be charged a consultancy fee. If you talk to a medical device manufacturer's salesperson, there is a big possibility that they will show you convenient data in order to increase your own sales. When consulting with a senior who has started a business, I think it is necessary to determine how friendly that senior is, and furthermore, whether the advice is based on correctly grasping the actual situation in the region where they are considering starting a business. On top of that, deciding whether or not to open a business is Tsumizu's decision, and I think it's Tsumi's responsibility.

If a business starts quickly, I think the management of a dental clinic will be different depending on how the doctor staff responds from welcoming patients to treating them and putting them off.

We monks strive to recite sutras accurately with all our heart and with a proper posture at funerals and memorial services. However, when it comes to whether this alone is enough, this is not enough. When we receive the memorial service, when we welcome the parishioners on the day of the memorial service, when we prepare for the memorial service, and when we give tea until the memorial service, we try to communicate with the parishioners. It is also important to give a sermon after the memorial service based on the information obtained through that communication. Also, when we said goodbye, not only the head of the household who became the client, but also said to the children and grandchildren, “Thank you for your hard work, your grandfather is happy that you came to pray.” They say things like that. Not everything is perfect, but we do our best to do so.

I think interacting with parishioners and local residents is also an important job for a temple. I think the same can be said for medical institutions. I think it would be nice if you could carefully consider these points on how to communicate with patients and how you would interact with local residents and decide whether to open a business or not.

,

office work.

Even if there are good cooks, customers won't come in.
It's a common story.

It takes 5 tons of water to make one bowl of gyudon.
It's not just tsuyu daku soup,
Water for raising cows, water for growing onions.
There is something hanging where you can't see it in the bowl.

Looking at the questions and responses from the teachers, I feel like they aren't talking about office work.
It would be nice if the site was permeated, but does anyone have any idea about the office work?
If you don't have confidence in office work, I recommend that you continue to work as a working doctor.
If you have medical requests, accounts, and networks, it may be a savings I don't need to worry about.

I hope it's helpful.
