Why You Shouldn't Kill Yourself

I'm indebted to you.

I'm not saying I want to die right now,
I haven't understood “why you shouldn't commit suicide” for a while.

I can understand that this is because it causes trouble to bereaved families and others.
However, I think there are people who are alive who cause trouble to others.

I'm homosexual, I don't have a family or partner,
What are the so-called unrelated deaths or lonely deaths in the future
I think there's almost no doubt about it.

It's different if you get into a traffic accident, etc.
It's so convenient, and you probably won't die if you're a chubby one,
From the time my physical strength declined or I began to suffer from some kind of illness,
For example, to the local civil affairs committee or the city's elderly welfare section, etc.
You'll be somewhat indebted to them.

It bothers people like that,
Also, the value that should be spent on taxes collected by the general public
It can't have happened to my death.

Furthermore, I have a low income and don't have any savings.

In other words, by the age of death,
I have no money, no relatives,
I can see how old people are simply difficult to handle.

If you are going to suffer from dementia with this, it will be even more troublesome.

So, while my body and head are still moving,
I've wanted to put an end to my worthless self.

On this consultation site,
I don't think they can get advice that affirms suicide.

Well, why do we have to live even with this kind of scum
Could you tell me about it?

Thank you for your support.

That's because life is a way of being that has nothing to do with one's own intentions or ego

An explanation of why suicide is prohibited.
First, hold your breath and hold for how many minutes, 123...
It must be stifling. Who's breathing?
you?
If so, try stopping your breath or heart immediately without using any tools or anything of your own accord.
Are you really the one who is breathing in and out regardless of your intentions?
Why can't you stop taking a breath of your own accord?
In other words, saying this kind of crap is out of your head, and your real protagonist is life.
The reason I have fallen into a pitiful state of mind where I even bullied myself with “this kind of scum” is because you have defied Oinochi-sama, who is your real protagonist, and forced yourself to do only what you really don't like. Try to find something truly sacred, life within yourself.
Buddhism isn't saying that suicide isn't cool.
“That sacred life, which I was given so much, is moving unrelated to my own intentions.
I'm just saying that you shouldn't selfishly try to influence that precious life, which can only be described as sacred because it is moving unrelated to your own intentions, and that self-centered thoughts about that life aren't cool.
So, if you despise yourself by saying things like taking your own life or being scum, etc., your life and name will cry.

It's about really taking care of yourself. To really take care of yourself, you should be kind in your way of thinking, acting, speaking, and writing in places like this.
Please be careful and careful with the actions and words you create.
Politeness refers to a soft level where you “don't feel bad”.
If the world and people are cold, isn't it okay to just be kind to yourself?

“Does Buddhism really prohibit suicide?”

Seita-sama

This is Kawaguchi Hidetoshi. This is my humble answer to the question.

If you search for “suicide Buddhism” on Google, it currently comes up in the top 4 (2013.12.23). “Does Buddhism really prohibit suicide?” There is a page called

I was prepared that someday, the day might come when I would have to put this page up in “hasunoha” as a reference...

I have a feeling that the time has finally come...

Of course, even here, suicide is not treated positively, nor is suicide recommended, so I would like to ask for your understanding on this point. Please be careful not to make any mistakes.

In particular, as a source, it is a discussion based on the Akon Sutra, which is classified as an early Buddhist sutra, and I am aware that there is something that can be helpful in understanding Shakyamuni's attitude towards suicide.

Now, on to my humble opinion based on this discussion...

“In the ultimate case, suicide may also be permitted, but only suicide in a state where the mind is controlled by worry or ignorance (fundamental ignorance) is never recommended.”

I know that most suicides in modern society are caused by worry or ignorance, but if suicide without worry or ignorance is possible, then it is necessary to think about exactly what it is.

What do you think, Mr. Seita?

Why don't you think about it together by studying Buddhism together from now on?

What kind of suicide is not due to worry or ignorance?

Eh, really, no way... suicide may not be denied in Buddhism...

what do you think?

Aren't you interested?

Of course, then, it may be necessary to understand what annoyance and ignorance are, but by all means, as you progress in your studies, if something comes up that you don't understand by any means, please don't hesitate to ask questions on “hasunoha.” We look forward to seeing you.

We have no choice but to take care of people for “life, old age, illness, and death.”

Even if people commit suicide without anyone knowing, someone will eventually clean up after the body. If you look at an actual suicide case, it is clear that even if you think you will die in a place where there is no such worry at all, such things will be erased when you feel like dying.

I think the selfish idea of “I want to put on the front while my body and head are still moving” can also be said now that I'm not seriously thinking about dying.

There is no better or worse way to die. No matter how they die, it's just sad. However, whether it is senility, an accident, illness, or suicide, attaining Buddhism is the same. Dying is sad, but it's a reality that comes to everyone at some point. It's not a bad thing to die. Just like not being able to say that accidental death is bad or death from illness is bad, it cannot be said that suicide or suicide is bad either.

It is said that people should not commit suicide or commit suicide because it is seen as an evil act that ruined life due to the intention of the person in question. But that's not really the case. It can be said that most of them died of illness due to deworming. It was suicide or suicide when the brain, which was invaded by depression and became dysfunctional, made the wrong decision. It's not that the person in a normal state has ruined his life.

Of course, I don't want anyone to commit suicide or commit suicide, but I think what that person unknowingly does is suicide or suicide.

Live alone, die alone, go alone

My name is Tetsuya Urakami from Nagomi-an, Seita.

I was reading your question, and I felt that he was a strict person who looked at himself and was also modest. Also, it made me realize that I myself, who now have a family, actually have the same anxiety.

As you say, life is unfathomable. I can't decide for myself how I'm going to get old or how I'm going to die. Also, even if you have many families and assets, you may die unrelated or lonely.

There is a phrase called “Dokushidokushi Dokko Dokko Dokko Dokko” by Buddha. Literally speaking, the existence of a human being means being alone in being born and dying. I think society is made up of these lonely people who are related to each other through relationships.

It may not be an answer, but after being born, I think we have no choice but to live. We all live our lives feeling anxious, full of anguish, and being bothered by others. Facing that suffering can be said to be the meaning of being a part of life.
