Popo-sama
I'm Tetsuya Urakami from Nagomi-an.
How is your older sister doing after that?
This question is about what you should believe in yourself.
Actually, I saw “thank you” and wrote this answer.
As you said, there was only one temple in the village, and if all the villagers were members of that temple, there was no need to worry.
It is said that Popo has the idea that religion = Buddhist altar = ancestors.
Religion, not limited to Buddhism, is for people who are originally living.
However, since Japan, or rather in the Confucian cultural sphere, places great importance on parents and ancestors, Buddhism has been viewed as a means of memorial services for ancestors.
It's not that it's wrong or right, and it's actually recognized by the general public in Japan, so I think Popo also has strong feelings like that.
As one method, if your parents' house is Zen, divorced, and you want to cherish your ancestors even more, wouldn't it be a good idea to choose the same denomination as your parents' house? Why don't you go out with a temple you have a relationship with, participate in temple events, etc., and listen to the chief priest's story?
As another method, I have a stance that my relationship as a family is at a sect temple, but I personally am fascinated by sect B.
The reason why there are many sects in Buddhism comes from the fact that the Buddha taught a very wide range of teachings and was taught according to the abilities and temperament of the other person. Even though the goal is the same, it means that there is an optimal method for each person.
I came into contact with various teachings, this is it! It's also a good idea to choose that teaching.
Is it OK if the teachings at home and the teachings of being fascinated are different? Do you think so?
Don't worry, the Buddha doesn't get angry or punish you for that.
