I want to learn the Heart Sutra
Nice to meet you and thank you for your support.
I'm the head nurse.
Since March, we have been busy dealing with COVID-19 every day.
While feeling anxious that I might get infected, I have been paying attention to the physical condition and mentality of the staff.
However, due to the prolonged spread of COVID-19, various things occurred, such as the staff getting sick and unable to work, and there were staff members who were angry, dissatisfied, and anxious, and I was exhausted myself.
Meanwhile, I came across the Heart Sutra.
Originally, I wasn't interested in religion, and when it came to religion, I had a strong image of solicitations, offerings, and bad things happening without faith, so I somehow avoided it.
However, I came into contact with the Heart Sutra and “everything is empty”
What is the way of thinking that bodies, emotions, and things are all empty
reassuring? I felt a sense of peace.
It's difficult, do you understand? Seems like you don't understand? I don't understand it at all, but reading the Heart Sutra calms my mind a bit.
I was impatient because I wanted to read the Heart Sutra quickly, and I quickly bought a sutra of the Heart Sutra at a nearby Koyasan Shingon sect temple.
I'd like to be more exposed to the Heart Sutra, but I'm single and can't become a parishioner without a Buddhist altar at home.
When I looked it up, there doesn't seem to be a system of initiation, and I want to learn more about the Heart Sutra and the teachings of Buddhism and incorporate them into me, but I don't know the jutsu.
There seems to be a scripture reading session twice a month on the temple's website, but it's difficult for me, as a health care worker, to listen to stories where I share sutras with others at the temple amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Actually, it's a temple wrapped in the scent of incense, and I'd like to recite sutras while facing myself.
In order to face the coronavirus, which is likely to continue
How do you come into contact with the Heart Sutra and the Buddha's teachings,
I'm wondering if I should recite sutras.
I don't know how to read it, so I tried reading along with the YouTube sutras, and I did my best to learn from literature or YouTube.
Isn't there a better way?
