About denominations.
My family is the Jodo Shinshu sect, but recently I've been interested in the teachings of the Shingon sect.
Personally, isn't there a problem with the Shingon sect being a sect?

I've read your question.
Buddhism is
The road to becoming a Buddha,
This is a teaching for becoming a Buddha.
If you compare it to climbing Mt. Fuji,
from Shizuoka
from Yamanashi
Which road do you go through again
I wonder if it's going to climb
I think that's it.
What is a fool
Imitation of Shugen
I've been doing it for many years.
Recite a mantra,
Tie a seal,
All the Buddhas in my heart
Keep in mind,
Sacred sites all over the country
I was going around.
However,
This road is endlessly tough.
What is the degree of sentience
Easy gyodo and Nembutsu no michi
Appropriate
I've been transferred.
The opposite is also true.
A world you can always see
It's there.
Please don't work hard.
I wish you happiness.
Hello.
Your family's sect is the Jodo Shinshu sect, and you're interested in the teachings of the Shingon sect.
Freedom of religion is guaranteed by the Constitution, so there is no problem even if your family's denomination and your own beliefs are separate. However, please cherish both.
just
Your funeral and ossuary
Is it possible to do it at a Shingon Buddhist temple
Consent from other family members is required.
I saw your question
I felt that I was torn between the Shingon sect as an individual's “faith” and the Jodo Shinshu sect, which is the “purpose” of my home.
Don't rush to make a decision with little information, and get to know the teachings of the Shingon sect and the teachings of the Jodo Shinshu
Please gather information on what they have in common as disciples of the same Buddha, differences in principal image, and differences in function. If you understand it based on that, you'll notice that it's not always best to make a hasty decision. If you don't learn your way as a monk, I think it's fine if both parties are good.
The viewpoints of Jodo Buddhism seen from the Shingon sect and Shingon seen from the Jodo Shinshu sect are not completely consistent.
However, as a Jodo Shinshu monk, I also have a lot to learn from monks of the Shingon sect and other sects in the field of social contribution activities such as earthquake disaster remembrance and child welfare.
Other than me, I think there are monks who value the teaching of mantras.
There have been people in the past who were interested in the teachings of the Pure Land even in the Shingon sect.
I remember that Kakuro Shonin of the Chizan school was probably doing research on the Pure Land.
At my place
The person who cried and came to the consultation saying, “The rules have recently changed, and I was refused an ossuary in Motoyama,”
There was also a consultation saying, “I want to give them a commandment in the same style as my parents' denomination.”
I've also heard the phrase “how reassuring is Amida Nyorai, who always saves when your heart is broken by ascetic practice,” and “even if Dainichi Nyorai sometimes works for Amida Nyorai, Amida Nyorai cannot become Dainichi Nyorai.”
Once you have learned more about Buddhism, I don't think it's too late to choose one.
I hope it's helpful..
