A religion without salvation

I don't know much about Buddhism at all.
However, I was told this the other day by an acquaintance who had quit Buddhism.

Everything is suffering, four hardships and eight hardships, all acts are impermanent...
I understand that Buddhism is a religion that just takes things for granted, and there is no salvation.
There are many things you can't resist in this world, so give up, accept it, and die.
I know it's that kind of religion...

Is that really the case?
I would like to hear the opinions of the chief priests.

“Buddhism is a religion that just says things that are taken for granted, and there is no salvation.”
Yes. You're absolutely right.
Buddhism doesn't give you something called “salvation” that most people want so much that they get their hands out of their throats.

People who can properly take things that are taken for granted, like idiots who teach Buddhism, are looking for “salvation” in the first place.

Good evening.

There was a similarity, so I'll post it.

That friend feels like if there was a textbook on Buddhism, he just looked at the first page. It's too early to stop.

If you read the questions from the past, it is said that you are currently suffering from an intractable disease. I don't know about the disease, but based on the content of the question, is treatment difficult? At that time, Buddhism doesn't say to you, “If it doesn't heal, give up and just die.” Also, I'm not saying I'm going to cure it with magic. For example, even if you're sick, you can “① do good deeds (use kind words, etc.) ② don't do bad deeds (don't speak ill of people, don't lie, etc.) ③ do something good for people” to the extent you can. One of the teachings of Buddhism is to do this. Buddhism shows how to live a better life as a human being. It feels good to do these actions. Your feelings will be saved.

If you want to understand religion with your head, it's philosophy (thought).
It is a religion because “prayer” is added to philosophy (thought).
Certainly, Buddhism has teachings as guidelines for living as a person.
It is only by implementing those teachings that it becomes a living religion.

This is because there are gods and Buddhas to pray to.
And since you can shine (make an effort) with the power to pray, your fate will naturally improve, and it can be called salvation.

The only person who saves me is myself

In Buddhism, saving oneself depends only on oneself (one's own actions and actions).

Buddhism can be said to be a reliable teaching for improving one's actions (work).

Therefore, based on the truth, causal relationships (causes and conditions) for making things better are explained.

If you give up due to emptiness and pessimism, and don't make any effort to make your actions (work) better, you will wander through a similar cycle of hesitation and suffering again.

Please think of it as a practical philosophy.

It's not a religion for doing what you want.

Where I try to do what I want
Buddhism teaches that there is a root cause of suffering.
It doesn't make the pain go away
Buddhism is about making suffering less difficult.
