About the idea of reincarnation

I have 2 questions

① In Buddhism, it is said that people are born with the idea of reincarnation
What do you think about population growth and decline?

The current population of Japan is over 100 million
It seems that when the Taiho Ritsuryo Code was established in the Nara period, there were about 3.1 million to 3.2 million people.

In Japanese history textbooks, it is about the time the Manchurian Incident in the early Showa period began
Japan decided to turn 450 million Chinese people into enemies
It says, but now the population of China is lightly over 1 billion

even if we should think on a global scale where only people of the same nationality are reincarnated
The current world population seems to be around 7 billion people, but it is several times larger than it was a century ago

To put it more, how was it tens of thousands of years ago when ~~ Genjin was like?
There are just so many things I can't explain.

Psychic shows like Ehara Hiroyuki from the old days are no longer on TV
(It seems that lawyers and the like protested against TV stations for reasons such as piggybacking, inspirational commercial law, and unscrupulous commercial law becoming rampant, or cases where people who believed in reincarnation committed suicide in order to start over their lives)
In the program at the time, Ehara-san was talking about reincarnation, and when it came to the story “What was your previous life...”
They are all humans, and I've never seen a case where they were any other animals.
However, if all humans were to reincarnate into humans again, it would make no sense due to the number of individuals.

What do you think of this in Buddhism?

② When I die, everything goes back to “nothing,” it's a scam where there is no spirit or reincarnation
I don't like that way of thinking.
This is because it means “eternal isolation” when you lose an important immediate family member.
I don't think dying is scary, but it's scarier to imagine that you will be separated from your immediate family forever in the future.
It seems that there are religious people who completely deny psychics and reincarnation, but if you lose an immediate family member, throw away your feelings
Are you thinking about it?

Since reincarnation is the six ways

About ①
Reincarnation is not limited to humans, so for example, as the number of humans has increased, the number of wild animals has decreased, so it can also be seen that they have been reborn from the Animal Path to the Human Path. Actually, it also includes lives we can't see, such as celestial beings, hungry ghosts, and hell, so I think it can also be said that they have decreased and the number of people has increased.
Apart from Ehara, even if you can remember past lives, how can you explain the way you lived when you were an earthworm, for example, now as a human being? There are also ways of life when they turn from maggots to flies. When I was a worm, the inside of the soil was cozy, and I must have felt the burning pain when exposed to sunlight, but the food is only soil, and it is difficult to explain such a state with the human senses, so it might be easy to explain if it's a way of life when you were a human being.

What does it mean to walk away from reincarnation

Nice to meet you, I'm a Jodo Shinshu monk. Opinions may differ depending on the denomination, so I will answer as the Jodo Shinshu sect.
Reincarnation is not an interpretation of us actually being reborn. In conclusion, they cannot be reborn. The reason for this is the existence of a Buddha called Amida Nyorai.
Amida used to be an ascetic practitioner called Hozo Bosatsu. What is a condition for Hozo Bosatsu to attain enlightenment and become Amida Nyorai are the 48 vows called the original wish. Since all of these vows were fulfilled, Amida was born.
Therefore, thanks to Amida, all sentient beings (we ordinary men, all humans in this world) will pass away in the Pure Land. Obsolescence means that if you are born in the past, you will be born in the Pure Land and become a Buddha, just like the characters. In other words, death = attainment of Buddhism. This is a way of thinking unique to Shinshu. Also, the six roads are heaven, people, shura, beast, hungry demons, and hell, but this actually shows the state of people's minds in this shabha world. For example, like the feeling of ascending to heaven, there are times when you jump up and be happy when you live, and people are in heaven at this time. Humanity is literally a place where you live a peaceful everyday life as a human being. Shura is a fight, so it's when you're fighting. Animal animals are animals other than humans, and animals don't speak words, so they are in a state where they can't communicate even though they are human, or they are in a state where they ignore what people say, and when they say that, they are in the Animal Crossing Path. Gakido is literally a hungry demon, a state where you can't help but want it, and a state where you can't suppress your desires has fallen into Gakido.
Hell is a state where suffering and sorrow constantly spring up, and I can't do anything on my own. In other words, the six ways reveal the shape of human suffering.

I'll go back to the story. In other words, a human life is limited to one time. If you die like Super Mario, you can't reset it. Life is precious because it is limited to one time only. This is an important point. If you are reincarnated many times, you should commit suicide if you think your life has failed. You should live your life so you don't fail in your next life. Unfortunately, it's not possible to start over. I can't reset it. That's why the lives we have received are precious. And although life cannot be restarted, it is possible to start over from there. These are the words of a famous Shinshu scholar, though. When we die, we will become Buddha. As a Buddha, I always watch over my loved ones.

Reincarnation Arguments

Mr. Shoichi

In the logic school of Buddhism, reincarnation is argued through dialectics and reasoning.

“Everything about the mind is connected to the mind of the next moment, like the heart of the present, for example.” (inevitability)

“Your heart when you die doesn't change your heart.” (attributes)

“Therefore, the heart at the time of death is connected to the next moment, that is, the heart at the beginning of the next life.” (conclusion)

Strictly speaking, the mind of the beginning of the next generation is the mind in the existence of middle and middle darkness. The existence of middle and middle shadows also repeatedly dies when their shape is broken several times, and their hearts are also connected while taking the next shape (meaning body, meaning body). Then, they will be born as the next generation.

Also,

“The mind [of each moment] arises from another mind (of the moment) that preceded it. Like the mind in the present moment, for example.” (inevitability)

“The mind at the moment of birth does not change the mind.” (attributes)

“Therefore, the heart at the moment of birth arises from the heart of a previous life.” (conclusion)

This is where it can be deduced.

Well, the three thousand thousand worlds are huge. The number of life on Earth alone is immeasurably large. Since there are 100 trillion to 1000 trillion lives in the intestines of one person alone... kindness on Earth alone is tremendous. If there were a thousand three thousand universes, how many would that be... the next life depends on your work. Depending on the business, it is possible that it may even be born due to the coronavirus. It depends on your career whether you will be born again, whether you will be born into a pure being in the Pure Land, or if you will be born a hungry demon.

It's a good idea to think of reincarnation as a cause and effect of business.

Gassho

The next life is one second away. Don't let a bad reincarnation occur in the world one second from now.

It seems that many people tend to think “reincarnation = being reborn in the next life,” but few people question reincarnation in the main road.
The reason why many people think of reincarnation is probably because almost many people wish so.
However, it is different from the reincarnation explained by people who have seen the truth of life and the reincarnation called in the world.
“Facing the other side without being familiar with the facts as they are.”
“Remembering something else in the world of thought and being transferred to a second world without treating it as it happened.”
“To travel to a world of your own imagination without living in a peaceful state of nirvana.”
In other words, for better or worse, “there is a place to go elsewhere” means reincarnation.
People who want to believe in inspirational commercial law reincarnation arguments that turn anything and everything into “medieval aristocrats,” should believe it, but disparities and misunderstandings also occur. Japan is a mysterious country where fortune telling is played in the morning on public radio waves. Disbelieving information that is untrue makes us lose our clear thinking.
If everything goes back to “nothing” after death, the bereaved families of those relatives who chose to die themselves will not suffer after that. Or there should be no effect of historical greats, but people remain influential even after death.
If you explain psychics as “the influence of the deceased,” “the effect of the person who thinks of the deceased,” and “the mental effect that dwells in people living even after death,” the effects “exist” even if the existence of spirits is not material. It is originally called a spirit. Since effects remain even when people die, the cheap idea that disregards human dignity, such as the existence of a person ceases to exist after death, is probably strange.
If people are treated in the same way as substances after losing a family member, history has already proven that the minds of people who treat them that way go to sick human psychology (bad taste) where blood does not pass through.
Even in animals, if life is disregarded, bad psychology and bad effects will occur. That too is reincarnation. People around you and future generations will suffer from its negative effects. That's why it's important to “stay” quietly and selflessly in a form where nothing hurts anyone so that bad influence does not extend to future generations regardless of life or death.
Even if there are toxic parents, thugs, or people with outrageous humanity in the family, the reality is that bad influence will remain if the bereaved family takes pity on that person's sad humanity and does not “lead” in a way that further harm does not occur in future generations. That's probably why reincarnation should be explained intellectually in a form suited to the present day.
