My wife found out about the affair
Just the other day, my wife found out that I was having an affair. At first, I fell in love and tried to mislead him, but I was taken advantage of by my wife who said “I want to know the truth,” and I confessed foolishly honestly even though there was no evidence.
After that, my wife cried and vomited and was completely exhausted, and it wasn't until this time that I “did something serious,” and I was tormented by intense regret and guilt.
My wife, despite being good-natured, did not talk about this to her parents, children, or friends around her, and she is holding her alone, and when she sees her, she is full of regret and disgust for herself.
Shamefully, I haven't had a night out with my wife in over 10 years. That said, I didn't think I'd have an affair, but when I met a woman, I gave in to temptation and ended up having a relationship. To be honest, it was certainly a sweet thought that “it would be fine if they didn't get caught.” And even though it was 100% my fault, I tried to blame my wife for the cause of the affair.
I immediately broke off contact with my affair partner, apologized to my wife, and told my wife that I wanted to start over without getting divorced, but since I confessed a few days ago, my wife's feelings haven't subsided, and I don't know what will happen.
Now, every time I think of the faces of my wife or child, I feel a strong sense of guilt for my family and disgust for myself, and I am filled with anxiety about how long it will last and that I will be called out for divorce. First of all, taking care of my wife's heart is number one, but it seems like I'm going to die if I leave it like this.
I would appreciate your advice on how to treat my wife in the future and what kind of thoughts (feelings) I should have in my life.
I'm sorry for the long sentence and random sentence. Thank you for your support.
