The company's synchronicity and the atmosphere became rough

I'm a new member of society who started working this spring.
Recently, my relationship with a co-worker at work isn't going well.
That synchrist (A) and I chatted a lot, but from one point on, A only spoke ill of the other synch.
I myself didn't have any bad feelings about that other syndicate, so I admonished A, “OK, you don't have to say that bad,” but the bad talk escalated steadily, and to be honest, I became disgusted.
And during the previous training, A asked me, “What should I do now?” I've heard that.
In addition to concentrating on my work, I was a little annoyed that the lecturer was right in front of me when he asked me, and I gave an unfriendly reply to A.
A was probably shocked by that, and after that, they stopped talking to me at all, and began blatantly avoiding me.
For me, being able to keep my distance from A is a bit easy, but I feel depressed because I think they are speaking ill of me this time around to other peers and seniors.
I'm in a bad mood because I and A stopped talking, and I also feel sorry for the other members of the group.
What kind of feelings do I have, and how should I behave?
I would appreciate your advice.
Thank you for your support.

“He is him, I am myself” Having a heart that is not swayed by the words and actions of others

I have read your consultation. Because of his serious and kind personality, who wants to have a good relationship with everyone, they are deeply worried about the current situation.

First of all, your behavior of admonishing Mr. A, “you don't have to say that bad things” to Mr. A, who escalates bad remarks from another person is extremely natural as a person, and it is a sincere behavior.

In Buddhism, there is a saying “self-sufficient.” Originally, it means “I receive the results of my actions.” Mr. A's mental immaturity does not change as soon as he becomes an adult, and it is Mr. A's own work (act) to keep complaining and complaining. You don't have to carry it on your back.

I painfully understand the feeling of being depressed, saying, “Maybe they're speaking ill of me this time.” However, no one can control someone else's mind or mouth. When your heart is trapped by something you can't control, suffering is born there. It is important to draw a boundary with “he is him, I am myself,” and have a heart that is not swayed by the words and actions of others.

Now, as a new member of society, please prioritize the “here and now” way of life where you dedicate all your energy to the training and duties in front of you. Your seniors and peers around you will always correctly evaluate you as you face your work more sincerely than people who speak ill of you.

On top of that, if Mr. A is in trouble in the future and relies on you, please treat them kindly to the extent possible without getting attached to past ruts. That reasonable sense of distance and compassion will make your own heart grow even richer. I'm rooting for you.

Why don't you keep your distance for a while

Thank you very much for your consultation.
This is my first time as an office worker, and I think it's a time when I use my mood a lot. I think the discord in relationships with colleagues who should have joined forces to work together is a source of great concern for you. You've come to Hasunoha to find hints for that improvement. That's so great.

As you've noticed, the unfriendly replies during the training aren't perfect. However, I was annoyed to be called out while the lecturer was right in front of me — it's quite natural to feel that way. You, who have taught you to refrain from speaking ill of others, are sincere people trying to value better relationships in the workplace.

The inside of another person's mind is like a black box. Nor does what you think in your heart always match your words and actions. By speaking ill of someone, Mr. A may have wanted to attract the attention of others and become good friends. It's definitely not a desirable approach, but it's possible. So maybe after hearing your unfriendly replies, you've begun to distance yourself.

Relationships can sometimes feel difficult as we get used to each other, become closer, and don't hesitate. Sometimes I get nervous because I've become close. Apart from the relationship with Mr. A, let's just be aware of valuing relationships and business cooperation as usual. It might be enough to be able to say “good morning” lightly when you pass by with Mr. A without trying to force them back to their old relationship.

In the future, how about holding an “otsukare-sama party” at the timing when we've finished a big job together during work, and talking with Mr. A about “there's something I'm a little worried about” in the wake of drinking and nicating?

Finally, I'll give you the words I have as my motto.
“You can't change someone else's past. You can change yourself and your future”

You don't have to carry everything on your own. You're not alone. Please continue to use this hasunoha when needed.

You don't have to keep up with bad words and misdeeds

I read it.
I see... there are employees at the same time... I'm sure you'll be in trouble too. I don't know the details about you or that person, but I feel like I understand your feelings very well. I understand your feelings from the bottom of my heart.
There are probably times when you speak ill of others... since you're human, you probably think it's good or bad, so I think there are a few. But there's a limit, right?
What's more, it would be very rude to say such a thing without hesitation in front of the lecturer while taking the training, and that person is not facing the training, in other words, they are not working. So they're neglecting their duties, aren't they?
That person may not understand that, but I think it is natural to receive attention from managers and human resources departments.
Even so, if that person reflects and doesn't improve, it will be necessary to keep in mind that they will lose their job. It means that there is no minimum awareness as a member of society.
So I think it's okay to keep a distance if you call attention firmly and that person doesn't change anything.
Conversely, if you are involved, you will be adversely affected. There is absolutely no need to deal with that person's malice, insults, or misdeeds.
That's because you and that person are going to work, aren't you?

I sincerely pray that you will be able to work with peace of mind without getting involved in such bad words or misdeeds, and that you will be able to concentrate on your work and live a fulfilling everyday life without being bothered.

I think time will sort out your feelings and map out the distance.

I think it was an opportunity for Mr. A to take a fresh look at his own behavior. Even so, if they are people who only speak ill of you, you will think that it was the correct answer by taking a clear attitude at that time, and if Mr. A takes this opportunity to repeat it, it will be a good effect.

I think time will sort out your feelings and map out the distance.
You work hard at the job you've been given. Even if bad language is played, people around you will evaluate your attitude, so it's just that Mr. A, who praised it, will drop your evaluation.
