With my friend who was bullied when I was a kid

Since I was a kid, I learned at temples and churches, etc., and I thought that bad things should not be done, and that people in need must be helped. My friend was bullied and I helped. Then, I even told adults in the city, “I'm jealous of cute girls. I was harassed, such as “ugly.” I can't live anymore. I was mentally cornered, called a “depressive state” by a psychiatrist, and lived a difficult life. If you're a monk, how do you respond when you see someone in trouble?

Please continue to help them

I read it.
When you helped someone who was in trouble when you were a child, people around you said very terrible things and you were very hurt, and you were so bullied that you couldn't live. I don't know the details about you or the people around you, but it tells me that you're still not having a very hard time. I understand your feelings from the bottom of my heart.
Helping a friend being bullied and helping someone in need is a very good thing. You did a good thing.
The people who bullied and harassed them did bad things. Those people are bad people; they have committed a very big crime. Those who commit such crimes will always be rewarded and will always suffer.

You've been hurt and become ill, haven't you? Please take care of yourself and heal yourself first.
You are a very precious and important person.
The Buddha, gods, and ancestors will continue to gently watch over you anytime, anywhere, and in any situation. He will guide you so that you can recover and live a healthy life.

I sincerely pray to Buddha, God, and your ancestors so that you can recover from your illness and live a healthy life with your truly loved ones, so that you can cherish and help each other and live a rich and happy life from the bottom of your heart.
And I will support you from the bottom of my heart. We wholeheartedly agree

I want to have enough strength to help them. You can also reach out.

It takes courage to help people, doesn't it? I think people who have been bullied have been saved because of your help. thank you.

Because of that, the people who harassed them are cowardly people who can't do anything or do anything.
It's really terrible to drive you into it. that was frustrating.

If someone is in trouble, I can't leave them alone, and I want to help them. But in order to do that, I want to have enough power to help them. Knowledge and support beyond that. Also, reach out to those around you. Somebody help me, please. If we could raise our voices together, I'm sure it would be even more powerful.

Are you in a safe place right now?
May your mind be at peace.

I'm on your side even when unreasonably criticized

Hello, Nekozuki-sama.
As a result of helping my friend with pure kindness when I was young, I was unreasonably harassed by adults around me, my place to live was taken, and my heart was deeply hurt. I can't put into words how much fear and unreasonableness they have endured.
“If you help someone in need, everyone will praise you”
Adults and religion may have taught me that. However, in reality, good places (thanks) and bad places (accusations and harassment) always come as a set.
Everyone in the world is the cutest person they are.
If I feel that the risks and disadvantages are huge precisely because I'm cute, I pretend not to look at someone even if they are in trouble right in front of me. That is the sad reality of humans.
Looking back on history, as a result of helping people in need, there are plenty of people around them who have been criticized by people around them for “why do they help such people.” Helping people sometimes involves the risk of being burdened with unreasonable criticism and attacks from those around you.
But, Nekozuki-sama.
You didn't give in to your instinct that “I'm cute,” and you held your friend's hand without worrying about the risk. It's not something everyone can do.
The adults around you are stupid beings who attacked you to protect themselves.
The harassment you have received is not because you were bad, but rather a scar created by your partner's selfishness and the unfairness of the world.
If you were asked, “What would you do if you were a monk,” I would answer like this.
“I stand by 'you' who took risks and tried to help someone, no matter how much criticism I receive from those around me. It's just that.”
I didn't help because I wanted to be praised.
I didn't help because I wanted to be appreciated.
You just couldn't give up on your life or heart right in front of you... I definitely don't deny your nobility.
The world is unreasonable, and not all things are good.
But at least, I sincerely respect the person you, who once gathered up the courage to help someone, and was hurt because of it, and I wholeheartedly affirm it.
Please be proud of yourself. I've always been on your side. That's all for me.

Your courageous actions are something you should really be proud of

Thank you for your consultation. It hurts my heart just to imagine how difficult my days have been until now.

The first thing I want to tell you is that your act of “helping people in need” is definitely correct. The adults who unreasonably harassed them are completely wrong.

In Buddhism, there is a teaching called “self-interest and altruism (jirita).” The idea is to do good for yourself and do your best for others. Your courageous actions are exactly this practice of “altruism,” and you should really be proud of them. Also, as Buddhism preaches “causal retribution,” good and evil actions always return to oneself. There will never be a good reward for the adults who tormented you.

The question is “what would you do if you were a monk,” but since we're not Superman, we can't save everything. Nevertheless, I will try to snuggle up and help “to the extent that I can.”

You are currently in a “depressive state,” so please concentrate on treating yourself first. Taking care of yourself is my top priority right now. I hope that you will not lose that kind heart you are proud of, and that you will continue to do good deeds within a reasonable range even after your mind and body have been recovered.
