Negative emotions that suddenly come to mind

When we're having a good time, there are times when we think about things that make us feel uneasy or uncomfortable.

It's not that I'm worried or worried about anything.
I've been working since spring of this year, and I've been able to get a job in the industry I wanted, the company atmosphere is good, and my relationships with my peers and seniors are good.
I enjoy my hobbies even in private, and I feel that I am living a more fulfilling life than when I was a college student.

Even so, when I'm working, I think “how long will I be able to be with my 17-year-old pet dog”, and when I'm watching my favorite drama, I remember criticism of that work, etc., and when I'm watching a drama I like, I sometimes think of uneasy things and disgusting feelings.
When I'm watching TV, I think about getting depressed because of a small trigger, as if I were reminded of various things in an associative game.

It doesn't really make you feel uneasy or uncomfortable.
Originally, feelings change quickly, so negative feelings go away in less than an hour, but I don't want to imagine erasing those feelings when I'm in a normal state of mind or when I'm having fun.

How should we deal with negative thoughts and feelings that suddenly come to mind?
How can I maintain a calm mind?

A state of mind that can be experienced, be prepared to overcome it and take it positively

I see. I often do that too.
I have something important to me right now. There is a sense of fulfillment. In such a situation, they have opposing feelings and views from a different standpoint. It reacts to various things and is shaken. I'm going to take a deep look at things. I personally think that sensitivity also has an effect.

Since it creates a variety of emotions, it makes you feel like there's nothing you can do about it, such as sadness or sadness, but I think it's also an important emotion in life, and I take it positively that it may be a state of mind that you can experience eventually, and that it may be preparation for overcoming it.

Even if the present is fulfilled, someday the time to let go will come. There will also be breakups, and happiness will also change. Since I think about a lot of things, I think I'm going to rejoice at this moment's happiness.
I'm convinced by myself that they have more important senses and ways of life than people who don't think about anything.

Just forget about it because I'm happy with who I am now!

Thank you for your consultation.
Looking at the text, I felt that it was “because you are happy now.”
I got the job I wanted, I was blessed with a workplace, and I was able to enjoy my hobbies. That's probably why my heart worries about the future just a little bit, saying, “I wonder if this happiness will end someday.”
Suddenly, I remembered Yumi Matsutoya's song.
“I miss my old love because I'm happy now.”
There are lyrics that mean that.
Feeling nostalgic about the past or feeling uneasy about the future
Maybe it's proof that I'm satisfied now.
I myself have had a long dispute.
Even if you're having a good time,
I sometimes think, “What's going to happen next?”
However, I think about it every time.
The fact that hasn't even happened yet
It would be a waste to pass up today's day.
In Buddhism, “don't chase the past, don't hope for the future, just live in the present.”
There is a teaching called that.
I think about my dog because I love him so deeply.
The reason I remember criticism of dramas is because I value the work so much.
You don't have to force yourself to erase the thoughts that come to mind.
“Oh, my mind has gone to the future again.”
If you notice that, all you have to do is come back to this moment.
Because we are happy, anxiety sometimes shows up.
But even including that anxiety,
Maybe they're teaching me, “Let's live our lives with care for the present.”
Go ahead, time with your dog, work, hobbies,
Please enjoy today's day to your heart's content.

I live in that kind of relationship.

I read it.
I read something that suddenly made you feel uneasy. I don't know the details about you, but I feel like I understand your feelings very well. I understand your feelings from the bottom of my heart.
We often have such feelings in our lives, and the more we value our relationships with people and things that are irreplaceable in our lives, the more we feel that way. Everyone thinks so, in no small part, just like you think so.
When I was young, I thought so much that I withdrew. It was more fear than anxiety.
But I'm still alive now. You are also living with many strong relationships now. Please continue to cherish your relationships with many people and things.
I sincerely pray that you will continue to cherish your many irreplaceable relationships and that you can live every day with care, compassion and respect for each other, and that you can live a healthy and fulfilling life with all of you. We wholeheartedly agree

Think of it as a sense of self-defense

Humans have mysterious powers, and you can think of any thought as a consciousness related to self-defense.

“How long will I be able to stay with my dog”
“When I watch a drama, I think of criticism of that work”
“I feel uneasy or disgusting at times”
“When I watch TV, I think of various things in terms of associative games”

What these thoughts have in common is probably the desire to maintain one's own stability, not to want what one believes to be destroyed, to keep one's own body away from danger, and to avoid the worst.

Please feel the feeling of wanting to maintain your own safety and stability, which is common to these thoughts.
Then, you'll be able to understand that humans, oh, are desperate to protect themselves, and you can be honest with your own feelings.

Even if it comes up in the future, try to feel that it is directly connected to the consciousness of trying to protect oneself.
Why did this feeling come about? If you ask, I think you can see that it's almost like they're trying to avoid danger by trying to protect themselves.
Of course, there are some things that cannot be said to be true, but every kind of life contains the power to protect one's own life activity and safety.

Therefore, when such thoughts come up, the feeling of resistance will also decrease by recognizing, affirming, and accepting that it is natural providence/function as a human being without resisting or disliking it.

It is important to skillfully handle your own thoughts that come to life, point them in a good direction, accept them, and correctly recognize and understand them.
