What is a human being? I'm scared, please help!

I'm very sorry for the quick response. Sorry, I still can't believe humans. ＊ Looking back on past events, isn't life “war, killing each other between humans” after all? It's painful to be caught up in that thought. How do you let your opponent catch their guard down and slip through...

It makes me think I wish I hadn't given birth to children.

I am currently living with my 19 year old husband and child (6 months). When I found out I was pregnant, my husband and everyone around me opposed it. There wasn't a single person who was happy. I am the only one who will definitely give birth. I decided and didn't bend it. But after...

Do you have any recommended Buddhist stories?

Good evening I don't believe in any particular religion, but I was in high school, college, and Christian school. There were only things I wanted to learn at that school, so I didn't go there because I wanted to learn Christianity. However, when I was in high school, the teacher who was in...

Why is it painful to feel guilty about playing?

Even if I think I'm playing, work and future worries are always in the corner of my head, and I can't really enjoy playing. When playing, I think that if you play briskly, you'll be sharper and be able to work, but I haven't been able to enjoy it from the bottom of my heart. Life is short,...

I want to be a person who doesn't complain, complain, or speak ill of others

Good evening. I will be working as a member of society starting next year. I usually try not to complain, complain, or speak ill of others. I don't want to be a person who doesn't talk negatively at all, and I don't want to be someone who just laments that nothing can be done. However, when my...

Dependence on mother

This is my first time asking a question. It's been 10 years since I lost my mother, but I'm still unable to sort out my relics due to my dependence on my mother and a sense of guilt against my mother who died from overwork during my business trip. My mother's clothes are still in the chest of...

Do you have any Buddhist wisdom to solve the problems of modern Japan?

Looking at the current Japanese society, I feel uneasy about the future of Japan. It's not my problem, so I'm not really thinking about it right now. However, I'm wondering if something can be done. Right now, my mental and physical condition has deteriorated and I'm resting. During that time, I...

I'm wondering whether to become a monk or change jobs

I want to attain enlightenment without feeling the value of happiness (working as an office worker and creating a good family), which is commonly referred to in the world. However, in my current job, I'm wondering if I should become a monk or change jobs because I tell lies every day in order...

About occupations called “dirty”

Good evening! It's not a Buddhist question at this time, but since there is a risk that aggressive responses to nurses will come on some famous Q&A site, I thought it would be safe to ask questions here where the respondent's identity is correct. I would be happy if I could hear stories from a...

About continuing misfortune

I'm losing things that are important to me one after another, but is that because my behavior is bad? My dog (15 years old) died in 2013. (Dogs are very important to me) This dog had cancer, so when I took care of him, I had no regrets or pain about death itself. I just feel like I was able to...

The Wife Who Depends on Her Family

I recently learned about the term family addiction. I would like to discuss my life with my wife, who has this tendency. My wife is an only child, and she seems to have been raised with great care. I got married 7 years ago and lived in my house with my real mom. We also had children, and we...

About the commandment name when he passed away.

I haven't heard of any denominations, but there is a relative who is the head of the parishioners. It looks like they've been president for decades, and letters of appreciation from temples are also displayed. The other day, when it became a funeral story, the person himself said “I don't want...

It's painful not being able to forget the power harassment I received at my former workplace

I can't forget that I was repeatedly harassed by my female boss at the workplace I worked for a while ago. Even now, tears come out while writing, and I can't help it. I wasn't a regular employee, but I've never been absent or late. Even when I wasn't feeling well, I went to work as much as...

When you get hurt at work

I happened to see my boss's computer, and I saw an exchange where they sent someone a chat evaluating me saying “Mr. 00 isn't really listening and I can't work.” I was aware that I was slow to understand people's conversations myself, and even though I couldn't help being told, I was deeply hurt...
